THE BORE

So yesterday I went to see G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (it was only $5 and Sienna Miller is hot) and near the end at Cobra's underwater secret base, I was reminded of video games that take you to strange and intriguing places. It reminded me of the little I'd played games out of the Myst series and such. But I'm sure there's much more to the world of PC adventure games that I've barely scratched the surface of. So, can anybody in EB recommend me some good point-and-click puzzle adventure games, or games that focus on where you go as opposed to what you do? Here are some notes, though...
Not Another World, I've played a bit of it and didn't really like it.
I've beaten everything that has anything to do with Knytt. Great stuff.
Already beat Cave Story.
Please don't recommend Schafer/Lucasarts adventure games, I've also played them and they hardly fit the kind of game I'm looking for now.
Also, is the Myst series worth playing? I've heard the puzzles are unfairly difficult to solve, or the game is just boring period. What say you?

The Crystal Key

Schizm: Mysterious Journey has some pretty cool locations in it. Make sure you get the DVD version, if you can.
-
1, 2 and 3 are no-go then? Or just hard to get through because the years have not been kind/some other reason?
-
Dreamfall.
I don't give a fuck if the gameplay is basically bare bones and there isn't a lot of problem solving going on, if you want to go through one of the best stories ever in a videogame, then Dreamfall is your answer.

Might want to play The Longest Journey first though, since Dreamfall is the sequel to it.

PC port of Ecco the Dolphin... most unappealing lead character ever (dolphins :yuck :yuck :yuck) but the game has some great exploration and takes you to a lot of awesome locales.

Syberia 1 & 2 are great for their locations and atmosphere.
You also might want to check out Gabriel Knight 3. It lets you explore around Rennes-le-Château and dig around the grail myth, if you're into that. Plus, it's an awesome game, the first two are even better, although less epic I guess.
Also, I'll second Dreamfall. Even though it was disappointing in some respects, the story and the atmosphere were great.

I was a stupid attention-whore kid using the internet as a weapon. I bailed out, tried out real life, got my ass served by how shitty it is, came out a more humble person, and returned because I still dig EB, despite it trying to be different from GAF yet it still inherits all the worst parts of it.
Also I want to dick Demi :-*
