Out sick with a cold today, so a medicinal shot of Laphroaig is in order.
Currently in the fridge:
Stella Artois
Leinenkugel Fireside Nut Brown
Samuel Adams Winter Lager
Newcastle Brown Ale
Full Moon
Woodchuck Granny Smith
Nothing for me to drink, but I am smoking weed that is as sticky as it is pressed and it's pressed flatter than a Chinese woman's ass. A blunt of this shit last night made a house full of people pass out before we even started bong hits :lol
I'm happy to report that I am almost too fucked up to report!
I've had a nasty-ass cold for the past five days, so I have found the joys of Laphroaig and hot water. In my family, this is called a "Hot Toddie," but I understand that's a different cocktail.
Normally, I don't drink whisky, and I don't drink anything other than single-malts. I'd be ashamed to do this to the Glenfiddich 18 I polished off the other day, but this Laphroaig 10 is really tasty this way.
seeing as we are beyond the drinking watershed of noon, 1 180ml bottle of black nikka (consumed)
half way through 180 ml bottle of jack.
both utter piss, but i'm saving the awesome japanese single malt for my birthday :D
Never heart of Heartland beer, is this some Japanese brand?

You really must update me on the women drama. From what little i saw of you two on a regular night, i can imagine the break-up being destruction on a galactic scale.
What is recession wine? Fanta grape and vodka?
Last night I tried drinking Chimay out of a red wine glass - wow, what a difference vs straight from the bottle. I know, I know. I used to have a Belgian beer glass years ago but it broke. Time to get a new one I think.
ooh, tell us more. Not that we'll understand a word of it but it's still cool to listen to people talk about stuff they feel passionately about. /no homoI meant to comment on this earlier. Rayas is a traditional holdout in the super-modernized (in terms of wine that means overripe grapes, extraction from the skins, micro-oxygenation to smooth out the rsutic edges, and lots of wood aging). They have one of the best terroirs (growing area) in the world and they make a remarkably feminine, structured wine. It's quite expensive, and very rare. It's the third or fourth bottle on my list I've drunk that I can cross off now. It's a weird thing to do, but it's fun.
I had a Schneider Aventius and a Wells Banana Bread Beer tonight.
I watched a documentary called Beer Wars recently, about the impact of the major brewers and their mass production on beer culture. Very depressing stuff, although it seems to have spawned a healthy backlash. I'd imagine wine is broadly similar. The urge to create consistent product is laudable to a degree, and the technical aspects of it are impressive. However, when that product or methods come to dominate, it actually hurts the market because everything becomes bland and consumers ultimately rebel. (or we get Idiocracy).
hey, uh, how big is your suitcase
My friend Shawn (who you will likely meet) did exactly that last time he was in the US, actually. But just kidding. We can get all that stuff in Tokyo, it just requires a bit of legwork.
No, you can bring stuff. Just duct tape the tops.hey, uh, how big is your suitcase
I don't think I can bring alcohol on the plane, but I'd to love to hook you guys up!
I am planning on bringing all of you something beer related, though.
My wife just came home from grocery shopping:

We went on a camping trip a couple months back and we were just going to be making screwdrivers with a bunch of my wife's family. I didn't want to spend money on good shit to share with 20 people and just mix with orange juice. So I bought a couple bottles of McCormick and Popov. At least we had a selection!

Lately I've been getting into mixing beers. Right now I'm drinking one part Young's Double Chocolate Stout with one part Lindeman's Framboise Lambic. I cannot believe how good this tastes. That sounds pretty awesome.
Jinro House Wine. Only the finest. Tastes kinda like Night Train. It's only 12:25 here, but it's 5:25 somewhere! If you're going to drink, at least try to drink something that won't make you blind.
No, beautiful unique snowflake, you just weren't drunk enough or high enough.
