Why do people feel sorry for a dude who got a $30mil payoff?

Why do people feel sorry for a dude who got a $30mil payoff?
Because he's a good guy who was treated in a dishonorable way.

Most "normal" people don't feel sorry for him in that sense. Most normal people probably relate mostly in the sense of losing something specific that you wanted no matter what that may be. While I completely understand the business side of what happened, I also don't think he got treated very well but he seems to be doing fine. Will get his own show soon, etc. Most people probably feel somewhere between the extremes of Team Coco or Team Leno style cheerleading that occurred on forums as this went down.

Because he was flipped over and buttfucked to benefit someone who schemed to get a bigger payoff.
