Yeah, it's one of those threads again.   :patel

Personally, I am anticipating:

Civilization V - Combat overhaul, fuck yeah
The Witcher 2 - Still gotta beat the first one, but the sequel looks orgasmic
Rock Band 3 - I think I'm the only person who still isn't sick of plastic instrument games and I hope Harmonix has the decency to put Black Sabbath, more Lady Gaga, and Creedence Clearwater Revival in the game. 
Portal 2 - Because Valve is awesome.
Guild Wars 2 - I bought the first game off Steam and I find the MMO Lite gameplay to be quite addicting.  The changes in the sequel sound pretty good.

I haven't been following much game news so I really don't know what's coming out, but for right now -

Red Dead Redemption
Crackdown 2
Fallout Vegas

Everyone keeps mentioning Portal 2.  When's that coming out?  I hope to god it'll be longer than the first one.

And where the hell is episode 3?  Shouldn't there at least be a trailer or something out there by now?

The entire GI preview made the game look stupid, to me. If all those quotes are actually from the game, the writing has taken a huge hit in quality.

It seems they're trying a little bit too hard with Portal 2, but anything Valve makes I buy.

The GI interview made it sound like they were phoning it in. It sounds really stupid - story-wise, gameplay-wise, setting-wise. The whole screams unnecessary. Glados is still alive, but who cares? Portal 2 should take place out in the world with the portal guns, not inside Amerture Science again, which sounds boring.
