That picture is better than every single episode of Heroes.

:lolShe knows her biggest fans are nerds that like this crap.
Summer Glau is in this? It's like she wants to have the worst TV track record ever
Yea, L&O is like Conan for people past college. We don't want it gone but we sure as hell aren't watching it.
I would be Anthony Anderson's friendHe was amazing in The Shield.

At first I was like "shit, they're cancelling Law and Order?" even though i haven't seen it in a while. And then realized Anthony Anderson was in it and it made perfect sense.I will never forget him from Hang Time.

I remember watching the big "save the cheerleader, save the world" episode due to GAF hype. Didn't appeal to me at all. I want super heroes, not a fucktard who predicts the future based on paintings :-\
Apparently it got canceled without a finale. Fans of the show must be devasted

Heroes has fans?
In it's prime Law and Order was the fucking model for how to make a television show that relied on the same fucking formula every single episode interesting. CSI never even got close.

Back in the day you could set your watch to an episode of L&O. At 11 minutes they talk to the hot dog vendor with perfect recall ("I remember that guy, he wanted mustard and said something about pawning off a diamond bracelet"). 37 minutes in the smarmy defense lawyer tells Jack McCoy he's going to present a motion to suppress, thanks to Detective Briscoe taking the most expansive view of search warrants ever*. At 41 minutes, McCoy is convincing a reluctant Adam Schiff to let him proceed with the case, but Schiff tells him they need to go back to the evidence and rebuild their case.
I always resented L&O a bit for being so popular while the vastly superior Homicide: Life On The Streets flirted with cancellation its entire lifespan, but I respect the craft.spoiler (click to show/hide)*Seriously, about half the important evidence in his cases got tossed out during the trial, and he NEVER LEARNED. If Boogie did that shit, we'd be ragging on him so hard for losing his Mountie job that he'd snap, get drunk, and scare a couple posters off the forum with some belligerent PM's. :teehee[close]
I liked the first season of Heroes too. The idea behind Heroes was even kind of cool. It made people having super powers seem like real people. It showed that superheroes didn't have to dress up in capes to save people. They just took a really hard turn for shit-creek after season one...
Glad to see they finally put it out of it's misery.
I think Heroes was just like Prison Break in that a second season wasn't on the cards until the show became incredibly popular.
And LOST is just :-\ , they relied on mystery to give the show longevity and now that the show is ending it's becoming clear all their 'mysteries' were just a series of bad writing.

I'd like to see American TV pick up on model used by most anime, as in: one season of 13 or 26 episodes that tells a complete story with a beginning, middle, and end that's plotted mostly in advance. This doesn't need to be some iron-clad rule that every show follows, but it's such a pain to get invested in a series that runs for five or six seasons and then gets cancelled without a proper ending or has a really disappointing ending because most of the show was just written from one episode to the next.
Are they ever gonna show Law and Order: London over here? It's got Jamie Bamber and that chick who played Martha on Doctor Who.

I'd like to see that myself, but beyond some rumbling from Dick Wolf and NBC mentioning that they'd be kind of interested in showing it on American TV there really hasn't been any movement on that front. If nothing else, they should let PBS show it.

BBC has been making it hard for PBS to get any of their programming by raising the price of shows because they want to air them on BBC America.

Is Law & Order: UK even a BBC show though?
