The Witcher 2, which you inexplicably left off the list
too early
as we all know, the bore has the best taste, and therefore, our goty is probably the correct one. i have done you all a service and filtered out the crap, reducing the selection to legitimate contenders. now VOTE
Jfags don't know about SAINTS ROW

Pardon me sir, I think you have your jfags confused with wrpgfags
No, I was talking about the folks suggesting Catherine and Xenoblade and Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky (:lol) as worthy of inclusion on a GOTY poll. Skyrim's not my thing but I have no beef with those who love it. It's an Actual Game.
SR3 must be totally off the charts then, cause Skyrim is pretty fucking awesome. #skeptical
Tits has more cutscenes than MGS4, but the game it's actually good. Definitely the best portable jrpg I've played in yeeeaaaarrrsss.
Can't wait for the second chapter.
You're missing Skyward Sword & Catherine.
Too early to tell about the former, latter might be my pick since Xenoblade was last year.

Strategic turn based jrpg.

where is uncharted? why are YOU in charge of this? you are the biggest fanfuck ever

Only noticeable game I can think of that's missing is Ghost Trick.
Remember that time some guy from EGM gave Hotel Dusk a 10 and conned me into buying it? I sure as heck do. :maf
To be honest Catherine is the worst game I've played this year. If it weren't for the o-so-mature subject matter ( :lol ) that weeaboos use to defend themselves from attacks they jerk it to cartoons it would have been rated for what it is, a sup-par ps1 era puzzler.

no, it sucked. it was one of those quirky jappa ds games beloved of the same folks who mistake thematic cleverness and style for content and mechanics, i.e. the phoenix wright/hotel dusk fans. i started out liking it, but it got tiresome and repetitive with a vengeance

Catherine is the best puzzle game this generation. Puzzle games = good stuff. Nice challenge & very rewarding.
The fact that it has good cutscenes, good visuals, and good music to go along with it is just fluff.

Why OoT3ds and not Skyward Sword? Oh wait, pedestrian trolling is pedestrian.

Does it really matter which Zelda you vote for?

no ghost trick, hunh
just what i would expect from a furfag sonic buyer
i'll hold my vociferous laudations for a locale where people aren't losing their shit for "Take a Walk in Northwest Ontario Dressed as a Ren Faire cigarillo: The Epic"
I don't think there's a single game anyone on this forum can agree on. Everyone hates everything here.

Bebpo, you're being very Methodis right about now.

Everyone is liking Skyrim because those of us who think Bethesda couldn't design a game if their life depended on it aren't giving them $50 to "evaluate it" for ourselves. Most people splooging over it are the same group who couldn't stop singing praises of Fallout 3 or Oblivion. Where is the person who thought Fallout 3 was an embarrassment to the Fallout name, Oblivion a total bore, and loves Skyrim to death and thinks it's the best WRPG in ages?
Will gladly play it with an open mind a year from now when the "all DLC & awesome fan mods alleviating problems included for $9.99" version is released.
A lot of the same people who are jizzing over Skyrim in 2011 were the same people who were jizzing over Oblivion in 2006 who were the same people who were ripping on Oblivion from 2007 on.
You just repeated yourself, like you posted almost the same exact post.
A lot of the same people who are jizzing over Skyrim in 2011 were the same people who were jizzing over Oblivion in 2006 who were the same people who were ripping on Oblivion from 2007 on. Not saying that it would be a shitty game but it's a red flag to me. That and I've been burned by too many bloated and buggy Bethesda games to foolishly jump in head first.
what have i flip-flopped on?

My general rule of thumb is don't trust anyone's opinion about any game within the first couple weeks of release. Gamers are particularly bad for "love you today, who the fuck are you tomorrow", so I like to see how things settle before I take anything into account.
I really have to be in the mood for a massive openworld game like Skyrim (and of course the traditional WRPG lord of the rings art style/setting is a turnoff), so I'm holding back on it till I can get it on sale.
Skryim basically fixes Oblivion's worst flaw: a world that felt kind of bland and samey.
And actual fun quests!
Oh, I'm as guilty of it as the next person, but NiGHTS 2 should illustrate exactly why it's dangerous to listen to someone in that love-in phase.
oh christ, now you've got sand in your vagina. okay, let me explain this: some people make recommendations without considering the preferences of the person they are recommending to. they are most likely to do this when they are in the love-in phase of the game and really want other people to feel the love. this can lead to some iffy recommendations.
I'm not forcing myself onto any bandwagons here. I haven't played a single open world game that I liked, so I know I won't like this one.
So, I wait a couple weeks. If that somehow bothers you, too fucking bad, butthurt gametard.
and great, unique dungeons -- and TONS of them
Honestly, I'd rather talk about THQ gimping Saints Row The Third's content in favor of dlc shenanigans.

One of the most depressing gaming-related things this since Dragon Age 2.
i was HOPING some jappaweeb or ninthing would get all hot and bothered over the lack of ds games on the list, even though the ds doesn't even really qualify as relevant gaming hardware any more :-(
(although etrian odyssey 3 was good. or at least was a [really] good soundtrack. that was this year, right?)
i can pick at skyrim all day. hell, tvc15 and i nitpicked it for hours at lunch on monday. i might start nitpicking at it here, because it's fun to deconstruct things and discuss what sucks as well as the occasional fugue of grating positivism. does that mean i now think it's shit? no. i'm no etoilet, and i'm not getting paid. i don't sink 30+ hours (probably a lot more) into a game and then go "well, that was actually shit." even with oblivion, although i think i had some kinda ocd thing goin' on with that game.
The main thing I like about the bore is that everybody is an opinionated asshole and when it comes down to it everybody likes what they like anyway. I hate Dark Souls. But I get why other people love it. I love LA Noire. I get why most people on here hate it. No one really gives a shit which is the way it should be.

Good, so you agree Zelda is poowaterDepends on what kind of poo concentration we're talking.
You played Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Himu? I absolutely loved it, easily Top 3 of the games I've played so far this year.
I haven't played any of these games, and I'm not going to until I can be completely objective and detached. PS Rodland is the best game ever.
After a few hours with Saints Row 3 I may not be able to vote for Skyrim. I just took down about 40 dudes doing LB+RS click. So many awesome Rock style floatover DDTs and nut shots and flying clotheslines/dropkicks. This game is awesome.
We should be allowed to vote for two options (but if you vote for two Wii games, your Evilbore membership is rescinded).

look at all those color,is there even yellow in skyrim? maybe a particular light shade of brown that kinda looks like it?
well there you go!

Damn I thought I was the only one!
Himuro Plinko did come out? It was just really under the radar or something
11 votes and counting for PQ :hyper
Leaving off Dark Souls and Uncharted 3 makes this the most legit GOTY poll. This is a high qlty poll

I never played any of the SR games, and I don't intend to.Khan, if you have any love of GTA, you are doing yourself a disservice by avoiding Saints Row. Maybe you can skip SR1 at this point, but SR2 is streets-ahead of GTA IV in the gameplay department.
MEET ME SOMEWHERE MOTHAFUCKAS!
I never played any of the GTAs for more than a few hours. I actually never bought any of them past Vice City. However I will say that the SR is all about amplifying what I like about GTA in those few hours of play, so maybe I'll give it a try.
Is the demo good and indicative of the final product?
How are the controls in Saints Row 3? Are they stiff and shitty like GTA?
Voted Skyrim. Wish I could play SR3 but, you know, Skyrim.
How are the controls in Saints Row 3? Are they stiff and shitty like GTA?
They are hilariously smooth and enjoyable. I loved SR so much I decided to give GTA another chance - I lasted about 10 minutes before uninstalling in discuss. Saints Row 3 is a game BY gamers FOR gamers, under gamers.spoiler (click to show/hide)probably on top of gamers too. :teehee[close]

They havent been stiff r shitty since the first one... they are so easy to use
Not to mention the genius idea of "hold a button to run" gameplay - unless you like mashing A to jog
Someone link me Party Quest, I voted the bitter option but could revise my vote if PQ is good.
Flash. :-\its legitimately better than anything Nintendo released this year.
I'll give it a shot. :P
I still don't see Forza Motorsport 4, dumbasses. >:(
I couldn't tell if "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Cash-In (Ninthing option)" meant skyward sword or literally the ocarina of time port for the 3ds, so I voted deus ex
then 4-1 i got, Batman, Saints Row, Skyrim, and Witcher 2... and I'm having problems fitting them together :(
This poll still makes me butthurt :fbm
This poll still makes me butthurt :fbm
My goty was either groove coaster or tetris on the NES..
I'm so not gamer anymore ;(

Skyrim, Batman AC, and Saint's Row 3 are the only real answers, everything else is just trolling or non-gamer answers.
