I suspect both of us assumes I will forget to take it with me once I go back home.

Other than that I got some underwear/socks and a giftcard for a shopping center.

Two, my mom gave us so much shit, to the point where I felt bad. They don't have a lot of money, but they always gave us kids awesome, useful gifts that we loved mixed with shit we wanted, and she's carrying that on now even though I'm an adult. And after we were sitting around basking in the rays of our loot, she remembered to give us a card with $100 in it. Luckily I had been stockpiling shit for her since October, and it was all shit I knew she wanted so she was happy.

Still have to open stuff with babydaddy and then go to my inlaws and then friends' house to exchange more shit.

Norwegian Wood is very different from everything else that Murakami has written. It's much more straightforward.

Kafka is my 2nd or 3rd favorite of his books (Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World is my favorite) along with Wind-Up Bird Chronicle.

Instead, I got to see both my kids still believing in Santa Claus, and enjoying that they got the stuff they asked for. Pretty great.

Also had the sister-in-law from Tokyo staying over from the 27th through Jan. 2nd, so I took my wife out for a birthday date on the 28th. Time alone with the wife: priceless.
