Fuckin everywhere today I just want a goddamned coffeeeeeeeee!!!!! #1stworldshutinproblems
-
They don't even bother to change out of pajamas! It's fuckin 11am!!!!!
-
Then make your own fucking coffee at home you lazy bum.
-
Fuuuuuuuckkkkk
-
Piss on the walls, that willl teach 'em
-
Really it's the fact that they make no effort before they leave the house, are completely oblivious while out n about, talk about stupid he said she said bullshit, then blow off responsibility for gumming up the works for everyone.
-
Take pics of these people and post them here, kinda curious. Also be obnoxious and obvious about it to annoy them.
-
Pajamas outside the house/drive way...what universe is this? Ok when you say pajamas do you mean PAJAMAS or like a sweater and pajama pants. Cuz I can kind of forgive the latter
-
How can you forgive pajama pants outside the house?
-
How can you forgive pajama pants outside the house?
Easily if the pants are worn by a woman and made out of flannel.
-
So the person you saw was only wearing pajama pants? I can give it a pass on a woman; to me, it's on par with wearing sweat pants. Not exactly kosher, not something you'd wear to a restaurant but perfectly fine for a quick run to Whole Foods or the bank.
-
You're part of the problemmmm!!!!!!!!
-
WTF are grown men thinking when they make the conscious decision to put pajama pants on and walk out their front door in public?? This phenomenon boggles my mind and I have seen it increase at an alarming rate.
There is a commonality amongst these men – a large belly, usually semi-covered by a food stained, yellow arm pitted t-shirt, a cough that sounds like a mix between 2 packs of marb reds and a bout with tuberculosis and the smell of stale weed permeating from their person. I am pretty sure most are unemployed or seasonal workers, living in a basement of their mother’s home who clearly have no pride in themselves.
Here is a tip – try dressing in real clothes and maybe you would feel a little better about things, get some swagger if you will. In the meantime, please tuck your swinging balls that I can see through your open fly because you’re wearing PAJAMA PANTS IN PUBLIC and keep moving… Your stench is disrupting my meal.
-
See now if this thread was about grown men who leave the house in pajamas - complete with the two unbuttoned buttons at the top of their pajama shirt underneath their pea coat - THEN I'd be all aboard this rant. But....a woman in a hooded sweater, pajama pants, and running shoes getting a coffee at Tim Horton's? That's America, man
-
People need to get their shit together before forcing themselves on others- first step is real pants
-
Never come to Ireland. It's full of people in sweat pants.
-
oh no sweat pants what ever will u do
-

I only wear sweat pants to the gym in winter lol. But I looove putting sweat pants over my jeans at home during the winter, just to feel warmer :heartbeat
I'm doing it right now in fact. And I have my wool socks on :patel
-
sweatpants to the gym make sense- but its pretty obvious when sweatpants have NEVER been in a gym
-
Complaing about women in sweatpants? Smh
-
I think more american women are fatt and ugly or something. ugly women don't really go outside here and if/when they do they stick to alleys and side streets so its whatevs
-
The WORST is assholes buying scratchoff tickets in front of me at the convenience store. Hey, hey dumbfuck, how about knowing what the hell kind of ticket you want to buy before you get to the register? How about not standing there and scratching them when I just want to buy my soda and pack of crackers and get the hell out of here? Oh, you didn't win anything? I did. I won the satisfaction of knowing you just wasted an amount of dollars equal to my wasted time. I hope you never win, you oblivious, self-centered dickface.
-
I used to go shop in pajamas all the time back when I was self-employed/pothead. It was neat. Some days I classed it up by going out in a robe and spider slippers.
-
The only people who can get away with this shit are either a) The Dude or b) hot chicks in yoga pants. THAT'S IT.
-
People buying 5 or more gift cards were bad this year too
-
Then make your own fucking coffee at home you lazy bum.
Fuuuuuuuckkkkk
:rofl

I agree. But Yoga Pants aren't pyjamas.
-
Yeah, but the thing about yoga pants is that if you're chubby and wearing them you automatically go to jail, do not collect $200, etc etc
-

That's true. Also true for spandex, though that craze has surely died out by now, no?
It also reminds me of a story from a couple years ago. Low-rise jeans were huge in Japan, and there was nary a day that went by where I didn't see some slim-hipped Japanese lady in them. I thanked god daily for being born a heterosexual male, and living in Japan.
Then I heard some American podcast guy saying how low-rise jeans were the worst fashion mistake of the last decade. That the design should never have come out into the public. "WAT?! HOW WRONG CAN ONE MAN BE," I thought to myself.
Then I took a trip stateside and found out what was meant by "muffin top." And I understood.

Thats so ghetto dude.
Have you heard of long johns?
-
I went into Lucky's tonight.
They already had an aisle of valentines candy.
-
Did you get your coffee? If so, how could you be unhappy? Coffee => happy, always.
:bow coffee :bow2
-
Last night someone in front of me and my pals in the drive thru at In n Out took like 15 minutes to fucking order. :maf
-

smh
-
You mean the guy who decides to go through the drive thru but isn't sure what he wants? Yeah I hate those people.
They also ordered like 15 different things and I heard something about mustard.
-

It's not like I go outside wearing them - I do this in my own private room, where I'm not bothering or offending anyone!
-
It feels perfectly comfortable as is, thank you very much >:(
-
PD take a pic of that combo I wanna see how it looks like.
-
smh :lol

Im worthless without coffee these days- just need one in the morning and im good till 3pm
-
i go out in sweatpants all the time so FUCK YOU GUYS. its not like i show up to the fuckin job with that shit on; i go to the grocery store or movies or STARBUCKS on days when im sitting around like a fatass and i dont feel like getting for real dressed. theres no reason to get dressed up for any of that. plus i shower and do my hair so i still look good. there's nothing wrong with it, so dont act like its more embarrassing than publicly buying a copy of animu baby fucktales or whatever.

When I buy my episodes of loli adventures in penis land I at least wear proper pants so I have a modicum of respectability in tact.
-
lol sweatpantz
-
The only time I leave my house in sweatpants is if I'm getting the mail or something out of my car. Being a fat dude that runs in nerdy circles, I'm super cognizant of being "that guy" and don't ever want to be looked upon that way. I mean fuck, it's hard enough getting laid as a fat nerdy dude, let's not up the difficulty level.
-
You hit the spot Business.
I wouldnt feel comfortable wearing sweatpants outside cause I know what people would be thinking.
-
I was also raised to dress nicely on airplanes and it's something that's stuck with me as well. Sometimes my girlfriend and I fight over it because she wants to fly in sweats.
Flying in a proper clothing is so stupid. Maybe if it's a short flight, but flights 7 hours long and up are strictly comfy clothes situations. You're going to reek of other people anyway, and you need to get twice as drunk to get half as comfortable. Fuck that.
I wouldnt feel comfortable wearing sweatpants outside cause I know what people would be thinking.
Meh, I don't give a shit what other people think, I'm cooler than they are anyway. I dislike sweat pants so those are out, but the robe and slippers combo is unbeatable. Especially when you happen to stand in a crowded coffee shop with a bunch of suit and tie drones.
-
I dunno duckman, it's easy to say you don't care but you obviously do a bit since you like to shock drones in your robe ;)
I'm not a fancy dresser (lately I have been wearing mostly "outdoorsy" clothes) but I like to dress apropriate to the occasion.
-
Different strokes for different folks, but I've noticed people dressed nicely get treated better than those who aren't. Sitting 8 hours on a plane in office clothes is no different than sitting 8 hours in an office. :)
I've never really had a problem with that. Granted that I don't dress like a slob either, but half the passengers typically look like they are about to hit up a real fancy dinner as opposed to being shoved into a can for 8+ hours. And then they fight to get out of those posh clothes as soon as the plane is in the air.

Touché. Although I don't think it's about shocking so much as bugging them, and loathing the suit and tie mentality of the American workplace in general.
-
Nagging suits is always good though.
-
I always wear sweat pants for 3+ hour flights. I go out and buy some if I have to. I don't think it's considered "dressing up" for transportation, though.
-
At least no one here goes shopping in shiny silk boxers
-
Just ready to leave the house in sweat pants. I going to the gym tho (which also is only ten minutes away). I never wear sweat pants outside on other occasions. Maybe once in a while to get some bread buns for breakfast, but the bakery again is only 5 minutes away. I'd say anything within 10 minutes around your home is fair game in sweat pants.
-
I don't even own a pair of sweatpants. However, I will spend most my time at home parading around in my underwear. This only got awkward once when the FedEx guy pulled in without me hearing, and then had the front door swing open when he knocked because it was improperly latched.
-
We latinos are raised to dressed up for planes and are always disgusted when we see you gringos boarding the plane in shorts or sweatpants.
-
I'm not asking for three piece suits, just some REAL pants

I don't own a pair of sweat pants, and I only own one pair of shorts which I rarely wear. I guess it comes from work, and not wanting to kneel down on bare knees in the filth others have left behind, or having to yank dried paint out of my leg hairs. I generally just go with a button shirt, darker jeans, and a nice pair of shoes or boots in public situations like flights.
I do own flannel pajama bottoms, those and a t-shirt are what I generally wear around the house if i am not leaving for a while.
I am not opposed to dressing down, and have a nice (ish) suit I wear on occasion, I just don't ever have much call to wear it unless someone's getting married or buried.
-
:lol
like you can afford a plane ticket
though i guess for you it *would* be like cinderella's ball
Hey man I been to Disney three times THREE!
-
I just want people to look like they have a purpose when they leave the house :(

"Short pants are for little boys. Decide for yourself when you are a man"
Have to disagree on this one, I wear short pants everyday to college :bow2
-
If it's a short enough run, I'll wear pajamas out of the house in the AM hours. I'm married. Who the hell am I trying to impress during my brief but harrowing journey to the grocery store for eggs and milk?
As for short pants, I wear them almost exclusively in the summer months. Obviously, different places have different standards, but practically everyone in my office is in shorts and sandals when the weather is nice.
-
I just want people to get their goddamned shit together before they leave their house- I have to look at their stupid faces and pants
-
I'm drinking coffee RIGHT NOW, it's pretty awesome.
-
I know right? I had a cup while driving in this morning
-
I don't wear sweat pants outside unless I'm going to the gym, Rec, etc
-
"You know the message you're sending out to the world with these sweat pants? You're telling the world: 'I give up. I can't compete in normal society. I'm miserable, so I might as well be comfortable.'"
-
or you're a well-adjusted person who is sending out the message " i am happy and comfortable enough to go out without having to worry about what some schmucks will think of me as i walk by."
-
I'll buy that once that person goes out in boxers and a T-shirt or a sundress.
-
"You know the message you're sending out to the world with these sweat pants? You're telling the world: 'I give up. I can't compete in normal society. I'm miserable, so I might as well be comfortable.'"
So you're saying you wear sweat pants?
-
When I go out--as infrequently as that may be--even I put on pants.

You should've seen her face. It was the exact same look my father gave me when I told him I wanted to be a ventriloquist

i take out the trash & run to my car in my robe because i am awesome

I walk my dog in boxers and a tank shirt.

Yeah, me too. I wear shorts to work for 3/4ths of every year. I think I'm above the pay grade for "little boys," so I must have missed the memo.
-
what? why on EARTH would anyone wear shorts to office work
-
the office is a place for pants.
-
shorts at the office is gross- 70s shorts is even worse
-
American shorts probably pass for long pants in Japan
-
man up, i say
the office is not about comfort, it's about conformity
stupid uppity nipponoids

Drinky, is it true that the new prescriptive certification requirements for the Windows app store will extend beyond allowed APIs and UI design to cover developer attire and hygiene as well?
-
its not even like you need to dress up, just dress like you might be eating at the olive garden at some point in the day
-
Dressing well opens doors. I've gotten intern opportunities in part due to dressing professionally

Sometimes something good happens and you just want to wear pants.
-
I only wear pants (jeans or slacks). I like, never wear shorts. And I'm in Texas. :(
-
I only wear shorts when I'm playing basketball, and even then I tend to have the shorts in a bag and change once I get to the gym.

i liked the spec for touch-forward attire :drool

I just reread all of my posts in this thread and I cannot believe how right I am.
:lol :lol :lol
Pretty sure you're excused from thinking about flexibility, considering you have to wear a uniform most of the time.
Wearing shorts and a t-shirt to work is one of the "perks" of being a game developer; never meeting any humans outside your team unless they let you out for GDC or E3 is the downside. :-\
-
If I was in the military I'd wear my suit all the time. Looks badass
-
I think the Marines go so far as to have regulations that apply to how you can wear your civilian clothes that apply both on and off base. Maybe I should join them next.
But are you a bad enough dude to get into da marines?
-
I'll wear running pants out in public on occasion (mostly when I'm going to the gym, or just stopping down by 7-11), but usually at least put on jeans/t-shirts when I go out...
