Title: Someone post tattoos that don't look like ass
Post by: Himu on April 06, 2013, 08:40:16 PM: I seem to find tattoos as almost always universally ugly unless they are tribal in nature, something that covers a great mass of the body like Yakuza tattoos, or a myriad of tattoos that look like an ocean of tats (think CM Punk).

I find CM Punk's style to be sexy as it completely embraces the ink lifestyle. But when I see one or two tats like on someones hands or something I can't help but think it looks tacky. The other day my boss got a tat on her leg. She was squeeming all day as it rubbed on her suit pants. When it was time to go she put on shorts and it was the biggest piece of shit tattoo ever. Just a bunch of large chains. On her leg. Wrapped around the entire length of it too. Her bf must be angry but at least she's happy.

Not that tats can't look cool or sexy - they can! - but it always seems to be exception to the rule and that rule is usually that you look foolish with them. But then again I have pierced ears so what do I know about tacky?

Anyway, as far as tattoos go they're like pretty much all art- either you dig it or you don't. There's not really a "right or wrong" as it applies to most tattoo art; you either dig it or you don't, and if you don't there's no issue.

I have noticed that a lot of tattoo art is of the cheesecake/vintage sleaze/burlesque whatever style. So, maybe what you really don't like is that style of art? Just a thought.

For me, pretty much any tattoo on a woman makes her more attractive, unless it's something stereotypical like a butterfly tramp stamp or chinese lettering that says god knows what. If she's a redhead or a brunette, it's magnified like 2000%

I wish I could remember exactly what it said...something about dark and mysterious eyes. She was super depressed about a broken engagement earlier that year...made some pretty bad decisions in the wake of it. :lol

Yeah, this is a good general rule. I've got three, but they're all hidden when wearing normal clothes or clothes that would be worn at work. I think as long as it's tastefully done though, like getting a sleeve done on an arm but not looking like somebody that would steal a car, then there is no problem.
