LOS ANGELES (Oct. 9, 2013) – Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in the Americas, today announced that its action (RPG) Drakengard®3 will be coming to the Americas exclusively for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.
A prequel to the original Drakengard, Drakengard 3 transports players to a medieval world where six goddess-like sisters known as “Intoners” have brought peace to the earth with their power to manipulate magic through song. Harmony is disrupted, however, when the eldest sister, Zero, attempts to murder her younger sisters with the help of her dragon companion, Mikhail. As the story progresses, players find themselves in a battle to unravel the mystery of Zero and learn her true intentions.
Featuring the series’ signature brand of action, Drakengard 3 pits players against hordes of fiends and foes in remorseless hack-and-slash ground combat, and then sends them soaring for pitched aerial battles on the back of Mikhail.
Drakengard 3 will be available for $49.99 next year on the PlayStation®3 system and for digital download on the PlayStation®Network and the Square Enix Online Store. Starting today, players can pre-order the game at the Square Enix Online Store.

Damn I guess I'm gonna have to order this one. I love this series. Anyone know how this was received over in Japan?
Digital River is handling the physical release? FUCK.Damn I guess I'm gonna have to order this one. I love this series. Anyone know how this was received over in Japan?
D3? It's not out yet. Releases over there in December.

What does digitalriver imply?
Wasnt that whole thing over the super duper rare Ni No Kuni edition? I think you will be fine with this...
Actually though, wasn't Under Defeat PS3's US release only on Amazon or something?
I guess that depends on your definition of RPG. First-person dungeon crawlers, Fire Emblem, and Demon's/Dark Souls have fantastic gameplay.
gosh, this isn't racist at all
How are the first two games? The first one is pretty easy to find cheap around here.Well if you can put up with shoddy Dynasty Warrior's gameplay and are one of those people all about the "experience" then maybe you'll like them

Maybe i should have said RPG makers in general. At least the kickstarter games look good from western devs. Like Wasteland 2, Project Eternity, Toment Numenera, Divinity Original Sin. From the Euros we got Witcher 3 but that is about the only decent RPG from big publishers.
Why are people so excited for this? I know absolutely nothing about these games.Good characters and *story. Dog shit gameplay.
Drakengard 2's voice acting was not excellent at all. Ubisoft did a shit job.
You haven't played any of these games. Why are they good?
I worked on Drakengard 1 and I will never forget the expression on my coworkers faces when we first saw the ending
Sounds like Dragon Age 2. Good game.
To be fair, the game has been looking ok graphicaly.
I'm excited about pretty much any RPG with a decent budget. Nier showed a lot of potential even though it was lacking in some of its core mechanics like combat and the use of equipment.
