I'm selling my PS3 but I'm just going to take it down to Best Buy or Gamestop or something. I'm too lazy to go through a whole shipping process thing.

black friday is in two weeks, cuz.

the deal most places have is 250gig slidey slim + last of us + batman arkham origins for $200 (+probably a month of PS Plus).  if those aren't digital copies you can sell them and buy ar tonelico.

That's about what I was hoping for in terms of price [for a new system], I'll likely just wait for that unless somebody here is willing to negotiate.

If you desperately want/need one on the relative cheap, Rumbler I'll go through the process. I'm just really lazy and kinda don't want to but I would to be nice to a bore member. And you'd have to do a check or something as I don't have a paypal account. Your call.  I'd send you some photos of it via PM.

Sold mine to best buy for $100 gift card yesterday. Pretty good price for something I had for 6 years and sounded like an airplane taking off.

Unfortunately, I have no checks at all! I've never once used a check, always just use the ol' debit card. Thanks anyway, though.

I could buy you some games on Steam, though. :lol

no prob.

edit:Unfortunately the only things coming up that I want are on Origin ala Battlefield 4 Premium and TitanFall. But then it would be hard to make the price/values match up.

Just do a MONEY ORDER - you can get these at any Grocery Store in Customer Service... or a bank, loan place (check into cash, etc.), anywhere, really.

If he wants to do a money order that's fine. I also would accept TitanFall and BF 4 premium codes for origin on PC. We could go with a cheaper price than that also if you want to do a money order situation. Not really looking to make money on the deal. Just trying to turn it into games in return.

It would be the PS 3. Two controllers. And the following games.

Valkryia Chronnicles, Uncharted 3, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 4.

sent the info. And yeah I know about origin gifting. I mentioned it in the PM. Let's double check first though to make sure that would work (below) so you don't go wasting money but it seems reasonable.

Quote
I know you can't gift directly from origin like you can steam so maybe getting the codes off another site like amazon or something would be the way to go. I can wait on the TitanFall code since that doesn't come out until March or something of next year and maybe you could find a cheap sale code or something to save some money.

That's the one I had. Takes about 10 minutes, they hook it up and test it to make sure it comes on and boots up a disc.

Looks like everything is set with Rumbler. Shipping the system on Wednesday. One final thing. I did purchase Last of US on the system. Is there anyway to leave that on without my details and credit card stuff on the system. I did a system reset (Restore default settings) a couple of days ago in prep for selling it to gamestop. But I think that was the wrong option because there is still stuff on the hard drive like Last of US. I think I was supposed to do the Restore PS3 System option which would wipe out everything on the hard drive. But now that I'm selling it to a bore member is there any way to keep what is on hard drive for him to have and still delete my personal information off the system.

thanks for advance for anybody who knows anything about that stuff.

Full restore will take hours. Just delete all the user profiles, and manually delete all the games/files/saves/etc. You'll have to make a temp user account and log into that to delete the last account, as you can't delete an account you're logged into.

You need the account on the console in order to play LAST OF US (or any content, really).

You can change the PASSWORD / EMAIL details so he cannot log in to PSN (this is essentially what GAME SHARING is).

You can also DEACTIVATE the console through the sony website.

He should still be good if he wants to play LAST OF US. Great Rumbler can use his OWN account to play the game - online or offline.

You can also delete your credit card as well. Remove all info if it makes you feel better. The account must be on the system to play the content.

You cant access any information unless you log into PSN, anyway. He wont be able to see it.

Okay. I'm almost there. But bear with me because I'm slow. One final question to make sure I understand. So I delete my account and leave the games on the hard drive. Now Rumbler can play them when he creates his account? Is that correct.

Or would the games that I bought and are on the hard drive would always need access to my account to be played. Or he could play the offline and not online.

Sorry for probably making this more complex than it is.

Don't really care about the inFamous franchise, to be honest, but I would like to check out Shadows of the Damned and Anarchy Reigns sometime.

Now have you played Infamous 2 or just 1? Infamous 1 is a pos honestly, it was Infamous 2 that made me a believer. So if you haven't played 2, I just recommend at least trying it out. It's a huge improvement. If you already have then well just ignore this.

MGS4 is still worth checking out if you are somewhat of a MGS or anime fan.

The cutscenes are long and ridiculous but entertaining, especially the action scenes.  You sure won't see stuff like that in future games.

It's a short game so you could beat it pretty fast even if you don't care about the cutscenes.  The gameplay is pretty good for the most part.  Most people had complains about the QTE ending but it's fast and probably meant to be more cinematic than challenging.

There's not much content in MGS4  but what's there is pretty well done.  The production values are high and it's crazy how much attention Kojima pays to the little details.

oh oh oh,i'm the guy who knows everything about atelier and personaly ayesha is my favourite

plus totori has a lot of reference to the previous game (atelier rorona) so you'd enjoy them more if you played them in order but rorona is a pretty janky game,it's so much janky they've actualy redone it in the style of totori so it's probably better if you wait and start from there instead when the new version get released in late 2014 considering the japanese release was like less than a week ago

Dragon's Crown, not Dragon's Dogma. Crown is the one with big-chested wimmen that got Kotaku all riled up.

Well, I've had this thing for less than a week and I've already bought like ten games for it, not counting what I got from Stoney and what I borrowed from my brother. Playing lots of random Nippon games is fun, especially after spending the past few years playing mostly Western stuff on PC.

And Tecmo Koei can go die in a fire. They made Atelier Ayesha English voices-only because they somehow didn't know that America gamers wanted Japanese voices in moe animu RPGs? Come on.  :goty

Well you're the one playing fucking Atelier Ayesha so it's YOUR fault for playing a weeboo game with a name that sounds like it stars an African American woman.

That would be awesome if it were a real game.  :lawd

What are some good games that are PSN-only [or at least PSN/XBLA-only]? I'll probably get Double Dragon Neon, Tokyo Jungle, and Hard Corp: Uprising eventually, but I don't really know about anything aside from those three.

Yep, the Wizardry game is a really fun dungeon crawler. You should also get Flow, Flower, Journey and The Unfinished Swan if you like artsy non-games.

I forgot that I've got Journey already, and I've downloaded the demo of Wizardry [with the intention of reminding myself to eventually buy the full game].

You also have a bunch of other really solid games like Mushroom Wars, WipEout HD and Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype. If you haven't played them on other platforms yet you might also want to consider Critter Crunch, Shatter, and the PixelJunk series.

GR, you already have a copy of Valkyria Chronicles? You mind giving or selling me the copy that Stoney sends you?

I'm way late on this, but do you still need a copy of Valkyria?

12GB, though.  :yuck

More than enough for your glorious nippon installs, surely?

Glorious Nippon Installs are smaller and more efficient than lazy western installs.

NO, DOG

i tought people were just going on their usual "sexism this" and "sexism that" with ar tonelico since the first two game are decent but qoga it's just bad-bad :kobeyuck

i have no idea how that happened either because the other gust game on ps3 are much better

I've never bothered with the Neptunia games. I've been tempted, but the aesthetics just seem like too much.

I got Time and Eternity due to the turn-based battle system, but it's just an awful game.

Qoga is so bad, I can't even. :lol

Same goes for Time and Eternity, though.

But I ain't even care, inject that trash straight into my veins.

I'm at about 20 hours right now, getting close to the end [second of the three bosses, presently]. It's a fine piece of entertainment and I'll be getting the other Atelier PS3 games [except the ones that's getting a remake] soon.

I want a good jrpg to fuck around with over my 2 week staycation away from family/school, and since I plan on hermiting it up as much as possible, might as well go as far into the depths of uguu as I'm willing to tread with some Atelier games I guess.

The Atelier games are the least morally offensive of the the various series that Gust is involved with. And there's games like Ni No Kuni or either of the Tales RPGs. Or Valkyria Chronicles if you want some strategy in your animu.

I don't know it's kind of nauseating. I mean it's really really ugly. It's already pretty strange thanks to the 2d character, but man those environments are ugly. Like couldn't they do something? Like cel-shading them or something. They look like "my first 3d game" at some points.

Also I don't know whats up with the battle system, but it just seems like a button mash that somehow feels a bit unresponsive. Doesn't help that her animation continues to look like shit in battle.

I don't know the game seems kind of dire. I know these games aren't big budget, but maybe you shouldn't try something if you don't have the money to do it decently.

As for those Atilier games. No, I don't think i could play them. I tried whatever the third one was and they just looked like crap to me. Don't think I could handle it, but they are like the only turn based jrpg series on these consoles now. I just wish they did'nt have those looks or subject material. Maybe one day Gust will make something different.

If you don't mind Wii graphics (or are playing with Dolphin), I heartily recommend you give Xenoblade a shot. I have a feeling you'd really love it.
