I'm selling my PS3 but I'm just going to take it down to Best Buy or Gamestop or something. I'm too lazy to go through a whole shipping process thing.

black friday is in two weeks, cuz.

the deal most places have is 250gig slidey slim + last of us + batman arkham origins for $200 (+probably a month of PS Plus).  if those aren't digital copies you can sell them and buy ar tonelico.

That's about what I was hoping for in terms of price [for a new system], I'll likely just wait for that unless somebody here is willing to negotiate.

If you desperately want/need one on the relative cheap, Rumbler I'll go through the process. I'm just really lazy and kinda don't want to but I would to be nice to a bore member. And you'd have to do a check or something as I don't have a paypal account. Your call.  I'd send you some photos of it via PM.

Sold mine to best buy for $100 gift card yesterday. Pretty good price for something I had for 6 years and sounded like an airplane taking off.

Unfortunately, I have no checks at all! I've never once used a check, always just use the ol' debit card. Thanks anyway, though.

I could buy you some games on Steam, though. :lol

edit:Unfortunately the only things coming up that I want are on Origin ala Battlefield 4 Premium and TitanFall. But then it would be hard to make the price/values match up.

If he wants to do a money order that's fine. I also would accept TitanFall and BF 4 premium codes for origin on PC. We could go with a cheaper price than that also if you want to do a money order situation. Not really looking to make money on the deal. Just trying to turn it into games in return.

It would be the PS 3. Two controllers. And the following games.

Valkryia Chronnicles, Uncharted 3, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 4.

Pic of the system and games. That controller box is beat up because I've kept it in storage boxes but the controller inside it has never been used. Take some time to think about it and get back to me Rumbler.

I also would accept TitanFall and BF 4 premium codes for origin on PC.

These two?

https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/buy/titanfall/pc-download/base-game/standard-edition-ANW.html
https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/buy/battlefield-4/pc-download/base-game/game--premium-ANW.html

Just the premium part of it. I already have BF 4 the base game on PC.

https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/buy/battlefield-4/pc-download/addon/battlefield-4-premium-ANW.html

Alright, I'll do that deal. PM me your Origin account name and I'll figure out how to gift those to you.

Edit: Uhhh...apparently, Origin doesn't allow gifting? The hell?

sent the info. And yeah I know about origin gifting. I mentioned it in the PM. Let's double check first though to make sure that would work (below) so you don't go wasting money but it seems reasonable.

Quote
I know you can't gift directly from origin like you can steam so maybe getting the codes off another site like amazon or something would be the way to go. I can wait on the TitanFall code since that doesn't come out until March or something of next year and maybe you could find a cheap sale code or something to save some money.

Looks like everything is set with Rumbler. Shipping the system on Wednesday. One final thing. I did purchase Last of US on the system. Is there anyway to leave that on without my details and credit card stuff on the system. I did a system reset (Restore default settings) a couple of days ago in prep for selling it to gamestop. But I think that was the wrong option because there is still stuff on the hard drive like Last of US. I think I was supposed to do the Restore PS3 System option which would wipe out everything on the hard drive. But now that I'm selling it to a bore member is there any way to keep what is on hard drive for him to have and still delete my personal information off the system.

thanks for advance for anybody who knows anything about that stuff.

Full restore will take hours. Just delete all the user profiles, and manually delete all the games/files/saves/etc. You'll have to make a temp user account and log into that to delete the last account, as you can't delete an account you're logged into.

You need the account on the console in order to play LAST OF US (or any content, really).

You can change the PASSWORD / EMAIL details so he cannot log in to PSN (this is essentially what GAME SHARING is).

You can also DEACTIVATE the console through the sony website.

He should still be good if he wants to play LAST OF US. Great Rumbler can use his OWN account to play the game - online or offline.

You can also delete your credit card as well. Remove all info if it makes you feel better. The account must be on the system to play the content.

You cant access any information unless you log into PSN, anyway. He wont be able to see it.

Okay. I'm almost there. But bear with me because I'm slow. One final question to make sure I understand. So I delete my account and leave the games on the hard drive. Now Rumbler can play them when he creates his account? Is that correct.

Or would the games that I bought and are on the hard drive would always need access to my account to be played. Or he could play the offline and not online.

Sorry for probably making this more complex than it is.

I already played Vanquish and Resonance of Fate on the 360, and I forgot that Stoney was gonna leave a downloaded copy of The Last of Us on the PS3 I bought from him.

Don't really care about the inFamous franchise, to be honest, but I would like to check out Shadows of the Damned and Anarchy Reigns sometime.

Oh I did'nt know you had a 360.

Now have you played Infamous 2 or just 1? Infamous 1 is a pos honestly, it was Infamous 2 that made me a believer. So if you haven't played 2, I just recommend at least trying it out. It's a huge improvement. If you already have then well just ignore this.

MGS4 is still worth checking out if you are somewhat of a MGS or anime fan.

The cutscenes are long and ridiculous but entertaining, especially the action scenes.  You sure won't see stuff like that in future games.

It's a short game so you could beat it pretty fast even if you don't care about the cutscenes.  The gameplay is pretty good for the most part.  Most people had complains about the QTE ending but it's fast and probably meant to be more cinematic than challenging.

There's not much content in MGS4  but what's there is pretty well done.  The production values are high and it's crazy how much attention Kojima pays to the little details.

Might as well play MGS4 once. It's an interesting failure. It's got some cool things on screen.
