You mean first?
Gotta get that next must have PS4 exclusive!
So from your summary, we should expect next-gen open-world games to be short and have little to do?
So what are PS4 owners going to wait until now?The Order!
there's nothing good about that beanie
i feel like this game is going through the same hype cycle as killzone did, heralded as the pre-emptive game of the generation with the only footage coming out of one very polished section of the game.
i wonder if it can deliver the same level of mediocrity?

Can you imagine the smell of it?

To be fair, isn't it the same with Xbone. What great exclusive is on the Horizon after Titanfall? Though you may get more miliage on the road to the next exclusive with that .

Titanfall isn't even X1 exclusive. You can play it on three different platforms.
Infamous is an exclusive.

Their neon powers shader work is really cool
Based on G's description and the videos I've seen I'll probably just end up getting a ps4 when driveclub comes out.

Do you like Forza Horizon? It's that but on crack! I loved what I got to play of it, even if it was just a short demo. No open world, but it's got that feels like a cross between Dirt and Horizon.

I'm honestly not sure I'll ever bother to get a PS4. Maybe I'll do what I did with the PS3- get one in the latter stages of it's life, when I can get a shit ton of free games with PS+. I <3 my stream machine.
the game just doesn't look all that fun.
I'll still get it
new previews/footage out and my 78 is looking so hot right now.

u know why they call it the xbox one? cuz u take one look and keep on walking
do u know why they call it the playstation 4? because it's 4 the gamers:lol
don't set that bar TOO high there, bebs
screen looks great for a ps3 game
Didn't Mafia II end up costing a fucking ton of money?don't set that bar TOO high there, bebs
hehehe, well it's only fair to compare a competent developer on new hardware with their last work on weaker hardware ;)
Plus it's not like Infamous games are getting GTAV 100 million budgets. When you're an open-world game, you're gonna look like that unless you've got the budget to add extra detail to every little inch of the world. I give Mafia II credit though for looking phenomenal on probably a modest AAA budget.
Though Infamous SS dudes could use some AF, but apparently PS4 struggles with AF and forever of not having AF in console games makes devs think it's not a particularly high priority to have the ground and walls in a distance not be a blur.
Makes you sort of wish they hadn't. I mean, shit, look at Crackdown. Sucker Punch could absolutely ace a proper toon-style.
That said, I really don't think this game looks bad at all. But I'd rather play something with a cartoony look considering how good they were at that,
Gonna pick this up 'cause I've got nothing else to play on my new-fangled NEXT-GEN consoles.
:goty2
I think I'm gonna pass on this at release and wait to see what people really think about the game. Never played the other Infamous games and I think if I went back to try to play through those, I'd be burned out and not care about this one.

if you want an idea of how they play, assuming second son isn't a huge departure, try the infamous 1 demo (if it's still on the store).
otherwise, yeah, it might be better to hold off if you're unsure. I really like the infamous games, but I know some people here don't. The series seems pretty divisive.

I have Infamous 1 and 2 (and the expansion). Got them for free with the PS3. They're still unopened.
