Only a matter of time until amazon figures out I'm not a student and haven't been one for years :fbmbetter hope Amazon Tony isn't a snitch.
Why the fuck can't I just have a cheaper shipping-only plan? I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOUR GARBAGE SHOWS, AMAZON.
It's $35 now
And they can suck dog dick for not releasing Prime Video for Android devices.
I've been splitting a "family" plan with some friends for years now, so it'll be going from $20 to $25 for me.
jewish group economics :whew
You dont get the video streaming with a family sub which sucks but w/e.
Is the family sub the same price?
I'd love to buy a Kindle and load it up with books, but if I buy a Kindle in Japan it is somehow magically locked to Amazon.co.jp rather than .com, so that's out.
This region-specific Internet can go screw itself, starting with Amazon.
Yes, I have a US Amazon account, and Kindle purchases on it, which can be read on my computer, iPhone, or iPad through the Kindle app, but if I buy a Kindle reader device in Japan, it will not allow me to access my US account, only an account associated with amazon.co.jp

Maybe I misunderstand your problem but I think I can buy books from every amazon store? Or the german amazon store has almost all kindle books that Amazon has, I would imagine it's the same for Japan? Or is your problem that you can't use a japanese kindle with your existing Amazon account?
wait, amazon music purchases are region locked for playback? that's really bizarre. I could see initial purchase, maybe, due to distribution issues/etc. I hope apple isn't the same heh.Apple has no location-based IP block restrictions in place for any kind of purchase on their store. The billing address limits an account's region; the account's region determines which "store" can be accessed; the store can be accessed from anywhere in the world. I've purchased music, TV, and movies, rented movies, and uploaded my library through the iTunes Match service. No problems, no hiccups with that, ever.

The service is called Amazon Key, and it relies on a Amazon’s new Cloud Cam and compatible smart lock. The camera is the hub, connected to the internet via your home Wi-Fi. The camera talks to the lock over Zigbee, a wireless protocol utilized by many smart home devices.
When a courier arrives with a package for in-home delivery, they scan the barcode, sending a request to Amazon’s cloud. If everything checks out, the cloud grants permission by sending a message back to the camera, which starts recording. The courier then gets a prompt on their app, swipes the screen, and voilà, your door unlocks. They drop off the package, relock the door with another swipe, and are on their way. The customer will get a notification that their delivery has arrived, along with a short video showing the drop-off to confirm everything was done properly.
Great news for insane people and morons: Amazon has disrupted the lock! Now, you can choose to pay money to grant this giant faceless hell-corporation the ability to send strangers inside your locked home when you’re not there. Just like you always wanted
I am stunned at how often I use google to find a product on Amazon. If that's not a sign that your UX/UI blows, I don't know what would be.
You're right, it's surprising that Amazon didn't learn a damned thing after the giant John Sculley Apple Performa clusterfuck about branding when selling hardware to a JC Penney or Sears consumer base. Amazon mass media consumption devices should be simpler than Facebook to choose and operate.
I order things online because I don't want shopkeepers knowing what deviant things I'm purchasing. If they were to enter my house it would be readily apparent what a craven individual I am.
Now expected Oct 27 - Oct 31
We’re sorry your package is late. If it hasn’t arrived by Wednesday, Nov 1, please come back for more options
