We needed another thread where Esch can lowkey brag about his money.

At dinner last night one of my clients was like, "Check out this low carb drink I found, vodka and soda. :smug" and I was all, "Just wait until you end up like me, drinking vodka neat. :goty2"
Everyone at the table was all :holeup.
You haven't lived until you've had the choice of Stolichnaya or bottom shelf vodka on Christmas Eve... and chose the bottom shelf vodka. And drank it neat.
My go to cheap and misery. Ice cold over ice, no pretension here :(

I was gonna put something like that last line in spoiler tags but I didn't want to rob you of the pleasure. :-*
A fifth can actually put me out these days anyway. :shh

To be honest all my eastern european friends are like you. Niccas can drink an entire fifth and still be a solid 5 or 6 drunk.
Well it depends on time we're talking here. A fifth over the space of 3-5 hours of drinking? Absolutely a blackout, yeah. A long day drinking sesh? 5-7? fine. would just be a constant 6/10 drunk.
Liquor story.
I shared about 1/2 a bottle of Jhonny Walker Blue with an asian customer. He went from this :) to this at the end of the night :maf
I apparently was the last guy in the world to learn that asians really don't do liquor well. Anyway the next day I went to his house and his wife let me in and he looked exactly like this
:dead
This is your life lesson of the day, do not share good scotch with Asians. K thx.
So are like Asian peoples big stoners then?
So are like Asian peoples big stoners then?
Not really. Drug laws here are pretty hardcore, and the public shaming which goes with them will ruin the person and their business and family. Many Japanese drink; not all of them are missing the enzyme.
Complain a 1.75l bottle of garbage vodka but still finish almost half of it over two nights by yourself
:goty2
Damn, didn't realize the ABV in absinthe was so high. This bottle I got is 53%. :phil No wonder the glass I had last Saturday hit me hard. :neogaf
Too bad I made bad life decisions and am still working at 20:45, and will be for many hours more, and thus cannot partake in this high proof bounty. :shaq2
It’s always a preparation:

I bought a bottle of St. George vert. My first green absinthe. :uguu
Shit is SIXTY PERCENT ALCOHOL BY VOLUME which I did not know until I looked at the label while putting it in my trunk. :dead
Hmm, $69.99 at BevMo for a 750 ml bottle of the St. George. That's a bit steep, but I'm intrigued.
Do you like anise? If you don't your only real choices are Bohemian-style which I have no experience with because I love anise almost as much as I love fucking up my life. (Reviews will be unhelpful too as drinkers have a profound antipathy for Bohemian-style, heaven forbid people not like anise.)
If you like / don't mind anise, I'd start with a 200 mL of La Clandestine. It's a very distilled absinthe (like a nice--not necessarily expensive Esch :comeon--vodka) so you can decide if you like the "base" flavor of the drink, and, if you do, you can then work your way into more challenging (i.e. less distilled / clean) offerings.
Even though it's kind of encouraging bad behavior (the distiller is milking the prestige of a marque from the late 19th century without really backing up their claim) I think I'm going to try nu-Pernod Fils next. Sucks that you can't get it in 200 mL to my knowledge though, at 80 clams a bottle I'm going to have to save for like two months to buy that. :shaq2

I have half a 1.75 of Bacardi left, and a whole bunch of juice. I think I'll be cocktailing it up tonight, playing Dark Souls until I get too drunk to beat the enemies.
christ, you're a taco
I bought some Mike's Hard Strawberry Lemonade.
Does that make me a bad person?
Slivovitz is a special thing. Pretty sure Jews drink it as atonement for imagined or real sins. That's what I use it for anyway.
I'm drinking USDA certified organic vodka. Who the fuck cares if poison is organic. :cac
(http://i.imgur.com/MjFicDJ.png)herradura reposado is great and you can find it pretty easily.
hola amigos
Any tequila recommendations?
(http://i.imgur.com/MjFicDJ.png)Not a fan of silver tequila, gold only. Jose Cuervo is quite generic but is my favorite brand. Silver is probably more shot friendly in taste for most though, so it depends on how you're gonna drink it. But Patron is good for silver. Try Don Julio if you can get your hands on it. Pretty good stuff. :lawd

post on r/scotch they will tell you what it isI did it:
Picked up Martell blue Swift today; ‘cognac finished in a bourbon barrel’. Definitely inherits some of the bourbon feel and notes, but I don’t think this will unseat Remy 1738 for me in this price range.

Well yeah, you have a bottle of Pernod Fils!
