Definitely a good skill to have as 99% of websites look like shit right now. For instance what the FUCK did they do to cnn? It is horrible.

but seriously

1) I can read pretty fast.

2) can occasionally be very in tune with what other people are thinking/feeling. gift and a curse

3) Good cook, i think. And only getting better.

4) this is going to sound weird but i have the ability to absorb a pretty big hit. I've never been knocked out. or broken a bone (aside from falling 3 stories that one time). Played football and boxed, been hit with a metal bat etc) don't ask why :fbm

In terms of football I played in a flag football league with mostly early to mid 20 year old guys. I though for sure at over 35 I'd probably only play marginally okay at that point in time.

I fucking dominated that league. Had the most receptions, td's, interceptions, and I don't think anybody scored on me all year. When we played the title game the other squad had some 26 year old kid who had played for Akron at WR and everybody figured I'd get schooled. I broke that dude mentally in 3 plays. He didn't have a catch.

:rejoice

I remember the kid saying "man you the real deal dude, you better now than dudes that was covering me in college"

Shit made my day and had me confident for weeks.

Foreign languages. I pick up the vocab and pronunciations quickly and I'm not afraid to look like a fool, which helps with grammar practice. Monkey see monkey do, and monkey do pretty well without trying.

It's a complete loss though because I'm too lazy. German, English and (passive) Bosnian will have to do. "Use it or lose it" would make what I learned evaporate anyway, same as it did for French, Spanish and Swedish.

If hedonism counts then I'm right there with you.

I'm good at writing(my grammar here sucks mostly cause lol forums), playing guitar, I'm obnoxiously good with math despite never really using it, and diffusing situations before they get really bad(have been doing this tooooooooo much :-\)

Not sure about other stuff, guess I have a really high tolerance for drugs and alcohol. Takes a lot to fuck me up. I'm also very good at repelling women.
So jelly. Numbers terrify me. :noah

If its anything, its writing. I picked up reading quickly, I've been keen on language since the jump

I think the difference is i know what good writing looks like, I tell people I'm not a good writer, I just know which writing to copy.

Anyhow:

1)  drafting police-y legal applications.  God help us that it is the case, but drafting complicated/intensive warrant applications is something I'd be considered an expert in among my peers.  It's good to have a rep for it, but it gets annoying when no one else wants to take on the "paper writer" role.

2). Hockey.  I mean, I'm not good good, like, to an impressive  competitive degree, for this country.  But at the "rec men's league" level I do pretty good.

3) Brazilian jiu jitsu.  Again, not in a competitive "winning a bunch of tournaments" sense, but in the "I have a brown belt so I know my shit" sense.

To be fair to the Akron kid I use to have to D up Tim fucking Brown, Terry Mickens, and James Jett (very very fast) and comparatively speaking a 5'8" dude running a 4.6 at that point wasn't too scary

I was pretty good at basketball. Mainly played center until I joined AAU, where I had to play PF and SG since I wasn't bigger than everyone. Transitioned well, even impressed some scouts.

I'm good with numbers. Shout out to Karakand.

and I'm good at making tanky characters in ARPGs that aren't particularly viable dps wise.

Ismail was quicker to top gear to about 15 yards but when Jett got his strides going there wasn't 10 guys in the league that could stride with him.

Im decent at soccer. Used to be a baller then i hated it by HS. One of my few regrets considering the student loan debt i have now. I was on track to atleast get a scholarship like most of my old teammates did.

Still have all the instincts so I bag goals for fun when i play now but my trick moves are long gone.

:fbm

How'd it happen?

One of the richer kids on my football team used to let us come over after practice on friday. His dad had an underground batting cage or whatever since he used to play for the Cardinals. So breh lets us have our rounds or whatever. I step out of the cage after my turn not looking where i'm going and i take a full aluminum practice swing to the temple... with my helmet in my hands instead of on my head

:fbm :fbm :fbm

ah, this is one story that i have no moral high ground to assume.

so, in shop class, i would weld fence and trim nails to large washers and bolts to make pseudo-shurikens. an upper-classman, legendary for stealing trucks and repainting them, and also simply being monstrously stupid -- and who committed the cardinal infraction of being poorer than me -- was sitting in our run-down auditorium eating lunch when i decided to chuck a couple at him from the top seats. i nailed him in the back and leg and made him screech, to which my friends and i laffed and laffed.

:cody

a couple months later, we were in the parking lot of the strip mall sears between centralia and chehalis (or was it the yard birds?) blowing up chunks of asphalt with little pieces of primer cord (and claiming it was my friend's shitty dodge backfiring when people squawked) on the fourth of july. he rolled up behind us, took a crowbar (or tire iron) out of his rig, and smacked me on the back of my head and i blacked the fuck out. my friends said i went down like jelly.

my old man reamed the fuck out of me for that one, since he was on the aid call (he was a fireman/paramedic) and he had to explain why his dipshit boy was out-the-fuck-cold. according to him, i took the hit where my skull and neck meet and my muscle sucked up most of the damage. (i am a bit of a meathead nord.) didn't press charges, especially after my dad found out i effectively started it, and since all i had was a terrible headache and a week of a humiliating neckbrace. (also, dude was crying; when i went down, he thought he killed me.)  bad times; bad times; CAC TIMES

Yep, not a Canadian. Have worked with many over the years. Even the One-Percent-er, TCB-Patched, Bikers of Canada are much nicer than their American counterparts (Ain't saying much, Most American 1% these days ain't worth my time. Too tweaked and angry to deal with.) . Much less the families of hippie farmers who had been growing since before the Second World War. Canadian Bud is always so good and cheap. Some of my favorite ganja ever is the strain "Jean Guy" from Montreal. Real hard to find and expensive south of the border. To be honest, that was the last ounce on weed that I paid over 200 dollars for, and would do it again. These days, I pay about 160-170/Ounce for Top Shelf in a Colorado Dispensary-Grade Cannabis, but I am not most people. Around here everybody pays 20/gram for 2-star indoor/greenhouse that the Canadians wouldn't smoke. Shit, I barely pay 20/gram for shatter!
