Pure mages are cool and all but definitely the most hit or miss builds in my experience. Pretty low survivability, don't usually get that good of gear, sometimes require a lot of leveling to get abilities you need to survive and really take people out, etc
:tocry
wish they'd get better treatment. Especially since in fantasy literature they're usually god mode status.
RPGs are all about the perfect kill.
Warriors just attrition themselves to victory. Such imperfection. Scust.
Wizards just read from a book or some :expert shyt. Grats on killing mobs at a third grade level, mabufu.
Rogues, oh the crunch you must engage in, the dice rolls that have to go your way for the maxed crits. Perfection. :lawd
I for one, thought you'd be into the role playing aspect of things more Kara :ohhh but then again, i suppose the number crunching aspect of wrpg combat is there
#NotAllWarriors. It's the medieval plate wearing clumsy brutes that sully the good name of the class. Give me your fancy dans; your blademasters, your monks, your duelists, your men of gambesons and little armor.
Warriors: swords and sharp heavy things and various levels of armor :lawd
Rogues: poisons, small sharp things, ninja get ups :lawd
Mage: robes of varying degrees of luxury, demonic books they barely understand, and sticks of varying sizes :goty
Cleric
I want to buff people and hit skeleton warriors over the head with my mace
By toys I mean game system features and abilities/items with unique effects and mechanics, not just more loot that provides a +15 boost to attack stat or whatever
I knew what you meant, because Mages are usually the most ability dependent classes. If you're super into the macroing and active style of play and stat micromanagement Mages are the best for sure.
I'm just saying that IMO, Mages usually have an underwhelming appearance/loot. I rarely find a piece of early/mid game mage cloth or staff that has me :gladbron ymmv of course
Completely forgot about Grim Dawn.
That's another one for Steam Sale whoredom
PoE is pretty amazing when you remember that it's F2P and somehow has managed to avoid P2W status. I'm really eager to try the new expansion/whatever and see if the desync fix actually improves things.Looks like it completely eliminated it, going by streamers and Reddit. Now you might get rubberbanding with very high ping instead, but they're adding more server locations alongside lockstep mode, so things are looking good.
I'm actually a painfully boring person, so I default to warrior types. They work and are easy to get into. Then I hate myself halfway through because of how boring it is. Though that depends on the type of game.I do it because on the next playthrough I'll pick one of the other classes after I learn the ropes of the game.
We're sick of the recent trend towards bright, cartoony RPGs. The art style we chose for Path of Exile is dark, gritty and realistic. Wraeclast is terrifying, and we've tried hard to do it justice.
They laughed at her. They pointed fingers, pulled their children away and whispered in the streets. They burned her home and drove her from the village. She got even. Flame, shadow, disease and frost.
The Shadow has come from the Guild of the Night in Oriath for one purpose: to inflict pain and suffering on anyone who's wronged him. Exile is merely an inconvenience.
It's 2015, flesh is flesh.
BTW the chained women to the HP and MP gauges is legit one of the most embarrassing things in a game.

Apparently they removed them but brought them back because the people spoke
