Post by: Junpei the Tracer! on March 07, 2007, 02:39:47 AM: DDS was awesome,I was so into it that I decided to fight all the secret bosses so I ran around for hours leveling up to beat Vishnu and Shiva.I beat them and went to fight Satan then I found out he can only be fought on Hard mode........so I went to fight the final boss who was pretty easy due to my level but he had awesome music.

I can't wait for P3

I also have the JP version of Dragon Quarter and it only cost me $14.

They're shit because I think they're shitty and I hate them, but to humor you...

SoT specifically is a very gimmick oriented platformer. Time control is shit, glitchy, and useless if you aren't totally haphazard retardo. The puzzles, for the most part, are akin to that peice of shit Soul Reaver. And the FIGHTING ENGINE IS GOD FUCKING AWFUL. I do like some of the platforming segments in each of the games, but they're mostly straightforward and uninspired.

The two sequels do some tweaking to the fighting engine, but it's still total shit. Also, they come with some unnecessarily added angst! Hate hate hate this series.

Post by: tiesto on March 07, 2007, 09:22:56 PM: The Sands of Time had some great platforming and evading through traps, it was one of the first 3D platformer games that I truly enjoyed that flowed as smoothly as some of the 2D greats... but the fighting was absolutely abysmal and everything seemed to go in bullet time which made things even slower and more painful. I had to suffer through the fights (the elevator scene where you had to protect Farah from dying was the bottom of the barrel) for more glorious platforming. Its a shame the series didn't improve on this aspect in its sequels from what I hear.
