Title: VCD's wtf?
Post by: Himu on April 28, 2007, 09:06:36 PM: I downloaded Hot Fuzz because I liked the movie so much I'd love to see it again, right? So I got it on my hd and the cock made it a fucking image file. I'm like,"okay, that's cool, that's cool." So I popped in a dvd and it runs out it was required to be burned via cd. Vcd, that's cool. So I burned it and not I'm trying to test it out and no dvd player will fucking play it.

PD you're a dumbass. Most dvd players support vcd playback. The disc doesn't work in any of mine. I popped it into windows media player classic to test it out, and like I thought, it worked.

Rule of thumb usually is if you downloaded it, VLC can handle it.

I'd imagine the download was in .bin/.cue format?

If you really want to get the mpeg file out of it without burning it or whatever, you can use a program like daemon tools to mount the image as CD, and then copy the .mpg out of it to your Hard drive.

I haven't downloaded a .bin/.cue in ages, so I don't recall if any other programs can do it easily.

Alcohol 120% and Nero are for burning them though, aren't they? I'm talking about mounting the image so your PC uses it as a virtual CD drive. No discs to be burned or anything.

If you want to get the thing unmounted, you have to open daemon tools again, lol. This'll put it in your system tray. From there you have to do something like right click>Virtual CD/DVD ROM>Set Number Of Devices>Disable
