I said the same thing about the dude from the first one to Drinky. They give him like a lengthy 10ish minute intro with a pretty detailed recap of the first movie, and then they just kill him off immediately and this one has nothing to do with the previous movie. Aside from having the exact same plot with different characters and a different ending.
Also, this movie was a lot more boring than the first one. And aside from the cock cutting, it really wasn't that gory. All the other violence was cut away or totally off camera.

There was not enough gore for me. i personally would love Eli Roth to make "Thanksgiving" but of course if hostel 2 does well he'll make part 3 probably. And i dont think that first guy died or did he? i thought it was just a dream. Yeah the movie was that forgettable.

i was disappointed with the lack of gore. i was hoping they'd make it even more over the top. and they even slowed down on the sex scenes. wtf? those were what made the first one good. it definitely wasn't the acting, plot or writing that made the first one worth watching.

Yeah, it's definitely him, dead, with the cat licking blood from his stumped neck. I believe you even see his decapitated room later in the gallery of heads.

It's just boring. Like the first movie, there's a pretty lengthy lead in until people start getting carved up, but the lead in isn't nearly as interesting. There's not much gore on camera when stuff does start happening.
I honestly have no idea why this movie was made. I thought with Roth jumping right into a sequel, he must've had some good ideas.

What did you hear? The only other bloody bit is the chick getting carved up with the scythe, but that is hardly shocking. Most of the damage isn't done on camera. You only see the back getting scratched.

Movie was definitely different. They tried to flesh it out with a lot more story and a lot less gore.
That first girl's death was fucking awesome though.

I'd do it, but I have to transcode it from xvid before I could edit, and by the time the whole movie has transcoded, it will pretty much be bed time.

Although I did notice there was a pretty clear line on her neck where the cut was supposed to happen. I hope they fix that for the actual release of the movie.

I dunno. You may be right--that scene was great (but what really made it was the chick below)--but it pissed me off that it was so safe. You only ever saw the chick cutting her back, and her throat. They could've made that more gruesome very easily, and I found it disappointing that they didn't.

What was great about the gif above was how she was like twitching . Reminded me a lot of a pig in those PETA videos just sorta twitching after it's had its throat cut.
