Seems this is what will be present in the new album. It sounds pretty renaissance-ish for Radiohead. They're going back to their roots of a britpop band. Expect the new album to have lyrics similar to what they did in Ok Computer, with the sound of The Bends.

Fuck.Off.

Ok Computer <3

God I loved The Bends. If I can get another album like this ill be in HEAVEN
-
I saw Radiohead live and really nothing they've done since has ever compared to me.
-
Not that surprising. Hail to the Thief was a conscious effort to do a sequel to OK Computer, after all.
-
coldplay>radiohead
nicca, please. Even when Radiohead do something Coldplay-esque, there's no comparison. I like both bands, btw.

And they almost succeeded. 2+2=5, Go To Sleep, Where I End And You Begin, There There, Myxomatosis, Scatterbrain, and A Wolf At The Door should have been supported by better songs. Not that I don't like the whole album, but it's just not as consistently excellent as OKC.

Man. Were you perhaps dropped on your head as a child? Oh! I know! You're deaf.
-
coldplay>radiohead
These days.
-
Actually, yeah. I would go ahead and say Coldplay is definitely better than Radiohead. OH NICK U HAVE SUCH BAD TASTE UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM PARIS HILTON
-
Oh thank fucking God.
While everything since Kid A has been alright, I'm getting sick of that whole glitch-sound they've adopted.
-
Radiohead are the reason why Emo is existant in this country. Fuck Radiohead.
-
I love Kid A. I like all the albums actually, for their own reasons.
Radiohead are the reason why Emo is existant in this country. Fuck Radiohead.
What.....
-
Did I confuse Radiohead with ACDC again?
-

You're a fucking moron. End your life.

Trolls typically try to make some sense.
That, on the other hand, made no fucking sense.

How can one end ones life when ones already dead?
-
And you call Radiohead emo? Fuckin' distinguished mentally-challenged fellow.

WTF are you talking about, aren't Radiohead the ones responsible for that punk cd that kicked off emo in the late 90's...it had a submarine on the cover and it was yellow

Sorry that I don't follow every obscure band to pop out of alternative rock/ punk these days.

Yes. I doubt you could find more then five people in a room that isn't a Radiohead concert that could tell you a Radiohead song. I can't, and apparently when I tried I was called a troll.

Why take my life when I can take my wifes and kids too while listening to a shitty Radiohead emo CD? :-[
-
okay dickbreath, i'll bite: what classifies radiohead as "emo"?
-
Dude I confused Radiohead with a emo punk band, probably because most people here are associating them with Coldplay, who -in my opinion- are an emo band. Clearly i've never heard the real Radiohead.
-
...I don't even think you've heard Coldplay, as they're too limpwristed to even be emo. Coffee table emo?
-
Maybe I'm confusing them with some other "sounds the same" British band...did Coldplay do "Fucking in the Bushes" then went all emo with that popular song about some wall?
-
AUGH. GET IT OUT GET IT OUT.
ACTIVATING RADIOHEAD IS AWESOME ALERT.

IP ban followed by a swift kick in the cunt with an anthrax letter chaser
-
That wasn't emo...hmm...maybe i'm confusing them then :(
-
The best show I've ever been to is still Radiohead. April 5th, 1998 at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle.
Spiritualized opened, and fucking melted everyone's ear drums.
-

Now that i've heard the "real" Radiohead, they kind of remind me of the Beastie Boys mixed with the Smashing Pumpkins, but british. Which is okay in my book. Hmmm...maybe ill have to check them out.

Some of their biggest inspirations were the Sex Pistols and R.E.M.
-
REM I can see, Sex Pistols....no. Although that video you just linked was like emo to the max, atleast the minute I stomached of it :(.
-
Well, REM was a big inspiration in their music, but I guess you could say they just loved the Sex Pistols. They didn't model their music after them.
Anyways, I GUESS Radiohead has a couple ol emo songs, but they're AWESOME.

This song titled 'Creep' was released around the same time as Beck's 'Loser'
-
Street Spirit (Fade Out) :bow
-
Was that song in a video game...sounds familiar...
-
RADIOHEAD IS NOT JUNGLE BUNNY MUSIC >:(
-
Street Spirit (Fade Out) :bow
I am very partial to My Iron Lung.
The transition from slow and moody to fast and action packed always makes me fucking dance my ass off.

-
RADIOHEAD IS NOT JUNGLE BUNNY MUSIC >:(
WOW I haven't heard that epitaph in a LOOOOOONNNGGG time.
-
I don't even like My Iron Lung much at all.
My favorite Radiohead songs are just the plain, depressing kind.
Street Spirit
Fake Plastic Trees
Let Down
and
True Love Waits and Like Spinning Plates off their live album.
Although, I do love Airbag+Paranoid Android at the beginning of OKC.
-
I can listen to Ok Computer over and over and over without skipping one track (Fitter Happier don't count). Goddamn I love that album so much.

Fucking LET DOWN.
Fucking CLIMBING UP THE WALLS.

-
Yea, Climbing Up the Walls is great too.
I used to be a bigger fan of The Bends, but recently I went over the OKC camp. I still don't like Subterranean Homesick Alien much and HATE Fitter Happier though.
-

True Love Waits :'(
-
Juice, imo, the Airbag -> Paranoia Android -> Subterranean Homesick Alien -> Exit Music -> Let Down -> Karma Police is the best ensemble of music of the first half of ANY album. It is perfection, that track listing.
I love all of the Radiohead LPs but I will say that I think OKC is a step above the rest. The thing about Radiohead's albums is that I can listen to them all for different moods. I listen to Amnesiac when I'm studying. Kid A when I exercise, OK Computer when I go to sleep, The Bends, Pablo Honey, and Hail to the Thief for when the fuck ever.
I just feel that OKC is by far the most polished of their albums, and the lyrical content interests me the most.
-
I prefer the first 6 tracks of Ten. 8)
Or all of Animals.
-
Lucky is probably my favorite Radiohead song. I find it to be absolutely stunning.
I think that The Tourist is a really good song, and I understand why people are so split on it. I'd like to see more Johnny Greenwood written songs. I liked the concept, but the lyrics left a bit to be desired imo.
-
I just went back and listened to Ok Computer like four times. Airbag is so fucking good.
-

Yeah I can listen to that album like back to back to back in one goddamn sitting. So good.
