if you get a woman, and she decides to just leave you down the road - you are back at square one, and more depressed than before. do you really want that? in the gay circle, you are constantly meeting new people and leaving them behind, it is like clockwork and natural. NOBODY expects a serious meaningful relationship when you are gay, so you just shrug your shoulders and move on, and make a post on your LiveJournal as well. meanwhile, you are back moaning on message forums on how you can't find a woman, and now that the one that did like you went away, you won't find anyone "like her" and will have this veil over your eyes that will hinder your progress that much more.
