... never really heard much about this game, but it's pretty fun so far (I'm just about 2 and a half hours in). It's part of a few GBA games that I've been meaning to play (including Sacred Stones and Yoshi's Island). I know MAF likes it -- anyone else?

I liked it a lot. One of the first RPGs I've ever played...and still one of the only ones. I couldn't finish the second because I got bored, as it felt so damn similar to the first. I don't have the attention span for RPGs at all.

It's by no means an AMAZING RPG, but it's a solid one so far and I'm enjoying it. I think the only RPG that took me by surprised and rocked my world was Skies of Arcadia. If Skies of Arcadia was a woman, I'd marry her and do dishes for life.

what i hated was when i went to play the game i put in my name and it kept giving me an error it wasnt till later that i realized that the game already had a character with my name in it. I was like "HOLY SHIT WTF" i didnt believe it cause my name is not common. And so i was freaked out as fuck.

Skies of Arcadia is overrated. And I was pissed I couldn't keep playing towards the end of the game cause I saved by the last boss.

Okay, I got to the first lighthouse. I dig this game. I think I'll totally nab the sequel at GameDude this week or such.

I really hated the first Golden Sun. The plot was horribly inane and the wibbling generic characters pissed me off. The sequel was really good, though -- had some really memorable puzzles and dungeons, and was actually HARD in placed.

Yeah, I'd definitely say there's some RPG for SNES generator bits in places, but it's fun. The story is a bit convoluted, and I don't like all the mythological references that don't really fit in with one another. ALCHEMY, PSYCHIC POWERS, GREEK MYTHOLOGY, MEDIEVAL CRAP, etc.

I guess I'm distinguished mentally-challenged, because I couldn't make myself finish Golden Sun 2. Maybe because I played it right after the first one. Maybe because I can't play RPGs for hundreds of hours like some people on this board.

Okay, I'm in some mine shafts fighting statues, but I don't like the dungeon layout in this one AT ALL. I've had fun with the others, but this one is tedious and the random battles are too quick. Move a step TIME TO FIGHT.

I think its a rule that every RPG has one bad dungeon. Both Wild Arms 4 and Grandia III have had 'bad dungeons'.

Lol. I know, I kind of went through the same thing you did. There were a few annoying dungeons and then the annoying Kraken (which is cool looking for an old GBA game) broke my will.

I beat the bastard, but lost my will to play the game anymore.

I have not picked up the game in two days, simply because - and this sucks! - this asshole lizard monster in a tornado keeps killing me. Wtf. I used all my powerful summons and he still whiped me out.

Okay, this boss fight sucks. The two of these jerks sap everything your party has, and you don't get any time to heal, re-organize or anything before you're thrust into a MEGA EPIC HUGE boss that attacks twice a turn. WTF.
