We have this one employee, who is what is referred to as a SGA (Senior Game Advisor), which basically means keyholder and on-duty manager when myself or the store manager is not around, who is an absolute nerd.  This is a guy who took time off when World of Warcraft was originally released.  This is a guy that couldn't iron a shirt to save his life.  He's 22-years-old, lives with his mom (who, hilariously, drives him everywhere - even to work) and has absolutely no goal in life except to work at GameStop and blow his paycheck on Nintendo games and the Halo 3 Zune.  He is a rabid Pokemon fan.  I don't think he's ever been with a woman, which third-parties have established.

Well the dude that runs a store next to us that I get along with found out that at age 22, the uber nerd had never been to a bar.  Ever.  So he got me and another employee, who is actually a cool guy, to agree to take him out.

I worry that after a few drinks he'll be smashed and end up going home to lose his virginity to a 43-year-old woman named Harriett.

Fun times.  Back in the day when I was managing a GS, we went to Dave and Buster's for my friend and fellow manager's birthday, and his SGA, who sounds a lot like yours Federwang, came out with us and we got him shithammered.  It was hilarious, we convinced him to hit on the waitress and prove himself to her by showing off his DDR prowess.  Needless to say, he went home alone.

Actually, I might pass on this bar experience, because this jerk didn't do anything yesterday morning and we've got a high-profile game missing.  When I came into close he was like, "Dude, we took care of everything this morning - ToH, shipments and everything!"

... But he didn't and I didn't double check, so I just got chewed out and possibly written up, which is awesome (not really).  It totally sucks that I feel like I have to double check everyone now.

I went to some bar in Farmingdale last nite with some of my coworkers... it was weird, the atmosphere was cool - set up like a WWII military fort, with hummvees and barrels and fake barbed wire around the outside, and some small classic fighter planes in the back. But the clientele was strange... you had everything from guidos (thankfully not many), to regular mid 20's people like myself, to 35-50 year old couples, including some dude who was shaking rapidly on the dance floor. But the weirdest thing was some 40+ year old balding man with a (very obviously a) hooker who was tearing up the dance floor with him.

Music was all reggaeton

Last night the wife and I met up with some friends at Feierabend, this awesome German pub in Seattle. We go there all the time for killer German beer and food. Hacker Pschorr Weisse, Schnitzel sandwich, frites, and hot mustard and curry ketchup.

See, now that sounds pretty cool... I'm definitely more of an eater than a drinker (that's the Italian in me) so combined pubs/classy restaurants are ideal for me. But where I live you have your choices of either really shitty dive bars, or Irish sports pubs frequented by an unholy concoction of guidos, frat boys, and kids you didn't like from high school.
