It started so innocent. Some friends were telling me about Disgaea 2 over Teriyaki one day. I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical. I had tried other NIS products, and while they had me hooked, the effect eventually grew less intense each time I used them. I had lost a lot of my life to the various NIS products, and I wasn't so sure I wanted to do it again.

But I did. At first I thought I could control it, ration my uses of Disgaea 2 by experiencing a little bit here and there. I tried using it in a rotation with other things like Grandia III and Wild Arms 4, but lately its been less of them and more of Disgaea 2.

Early in the morning with stats still burned into my eyes from the previous night of disgaea 2 excess, I wonder excatly what I was put on this earth to do. Like a lightning bolt it comes to me:

"Get my Prinny to level 100."

I actually got Laharl up around 2500 in Disgaea 1, and most of my Phantom Brave team crested 1000. :'(

jeez, now I gotta ask. Did you do this through pure grinding alone or did you do the transgression/transgender(lol)/whatever it's called? I still haven't quite gotten the idea behind that. Isn't it only useful to trans at Genius level?

Catz: the key is passing the "more powerful enemies" rule as many times as possible and finding good grind maps along with damaging then merging enemies. You also need to do a fair few serious item world runs for the XP boosting specialists and dump them in the kit of the characters tou want to level -- you can get like 1000% XP gains. (Lvl 1-100 takes a LOT longer than 100-1000, BTW, since you have better access to XP boosting items/areas at that point.)

Transmigration is most efficient at the Genius level, but that's just to grow stats, not get levels.

In Phantom Brave, powerleveling was loads easier with the "failure" title plus dungeon level bonuses.

Well Okami is tomorrow but it SHIPS tomorrow, its in stores tomorrow night possibly, but most likely everyone will get it Wednesday.

Tuesday is DVD Day, Wednesday is Game day

I dont reincarnate until I can get a skilled reincarnate, otherwise you lose too much.

Im enjoying 2 a lot more than 1. Everything just feels so polished. Plus Disgaea 2 has TINK, the pot-bellied french frog demon with split personalities.
