My current tv only has two jacks. One video, one audio. Distant tells me this is an sd tv, but I don't know. What all can I do with an sd tv and what type of cables can hook up to sd?

sd tvs can't use component cables, right?

I don't know much about tvs!

uhhh does it have red, white and yellow inputs? those are composite?

or does it have the single thicknet cable that you plug in? That's coaxial.

composite is better than coaxial.

And yes, some sdtv's use component for better picture quality, but it's really not that noticeable and not worth getting an sdtv with component.

Some tv's have an s-video input, but it doesn't sound like yours does.

himuro, i got my 37" 1080p Sharp Aquos for ~$1400, you can get less and at least 720p for cheaper if you look around.
