Have you seen it?  It takes an 80s toy commercial about battling robots and makes a damn fun action film with 'em.  If you walk into Transformers expecting anything other than giant robots tearing shit up, that's your fault.  It's a lot of fun and the acting is surprisingly solid; everyone has a chance to deliver a good line or two.  Its cheesy, but it knows its cheesy.

It's not a bad movie, though, by any stretch of the means.  It's easily his best film to date, but that's not saying a lot, as the only film of his I really enjoy is The Rock.  It's flawed and you can pick it apart like the cotton candy it is, but it's tasty just the same.  There's also some times where it feels like a Spielberg film struggling to get out.

There's a bunch of films that look good that I haven't seen, though.  Stuff I intend to when they hit DVD - like Zodiac, Knocked Up, Ratatouille, etc.

ffc stopped making worthwhile movies after apocalypse now. lions for lambs looks great, i liked the trailer but we'll see. i've never seen anything reagrding charlie wilson's war but the cast looks good.
