The funny thing is, as crazily overreacting as Patel is, I'm not even particularly attached to Comic Sans. Times New Roman reminds me of writing college papers and theses so I don't want to use that, and most serif fonts look way too serious and formal...I tried switching things around with some other fonts I have in my laptop but they weren't available in the school computers so I just used Comic Sans as a compromise.

Notice that Patel talked about creating a self-contained document format, but then refused to follow up and explain how to do that on MicroSoft Word....

garamond is a fucking awesome font. it's a little less plain looking than times roman and has a warmer look to it, and it's still easy to read.

i like sans serif fonts, but the whole idea behind serif fonts is that the serifs or "feet" on the fonts make it easier to read lines of text especially in paragraphs or large chunks. the eye flows along the text much easier than with a sans serif font. the serifs act as guides, if you will. this is exactly why almost every book that is published is typeset in a serif font. it's simply easier to read.

However their pixel fonts are like tiny little Jesii. I want to have sex with Hachipochi Eight. GOGO FIVE is also UNF UNF UNF.

I liked the ones I looked at, but they don't support OpenType. Since I do shit on both PCs and Macs, OT is what really rubs my clit.

I was just fucking with him, which he totally deserved. Synthesizer Patel has been acting like a fucking dick in this thread. From my first posts, you can tell I'm not at all familiar with typography other than the very basic stuff (Times New Roman for college papers, serifed texts for newspaper texts, etc.) and was honestly interested in finding out about alternative fonts, and Patel's (and TVC's) reaction was just to be hostile and insulting.
