« on: July 05, 2007, 10:00:17 PM »
Okay Im wading through my PS2 3D action triple treat of The Red Star (still  :-\) Nanobreaker and Devil May Cry 3. Finished all my Wii games so might pick up RE4 Wii shortly. On DS Etrian Odyssey has got me good, and Ive got Cooking Mama, Age of Empires and Ouendan 2 on the side if I need a break from that. But yeah Im happy plenty of quality shit getting played

Taito Legends 2 and Crush... I think I've got like 10 more levels or so in Crush... then its either go back and try to 100% everything, or just jump and play something else... I'm thinking playing through PS4 again on Sega Genesis Collection PSP. And then its on to the Oracles games... then finally getting Etrian.

I am gonna maybe start Earthbound soon a second time. I'm really in the mood for a classic RPG that won't take too long to beat.

I don't know why the crap PS3 games are still so expensive in the US.  New PS3 games in Asis cost about the same as they do here but garbage like Genji, Gundam, etc, cost about $20-25.

The game is basically half racing and half miniature golf. It sounds pretty shallow but it really requires absolutely precise racing lines to get a top ranking, and you have an extremely limited number of runs per day that actually go into the rankings. Multiplayer is great.

This isn't a great game, just get that out of the way first. But space shooting + Diablo tickles my taste buds just right, and despite the worst localization job this side of the early Nival Interactive games, it does get a lot of the basics just right. My main beef is mission variety-there is little-and the weak joystick support (I actually prefer mouse/keyboard for this game, and that's coming from someone with 250+ hours Freespace 2 flight time).

Easily the best space 4X game since Master of Orion 2. It's far from perfect-there are some serious racial balance issues (Korath and Drengin get huge every damn game on Masochistic difficultly and higher) and the economy model is counterintuitive, but it's strong points-good AI, good diplomacy model, and good "phases" of the game work out extremely well.

There are some bugs. Most of the other people on subsim have gone back to SH3+GWX for the time being, but the new patch should be out at some point and I just don't feel like goofing around in the Atlantic anymore. Oh, and SH4 is hella prettier.

Are you playing through the One Year War scenario now or did you go ahead and create an original character for the build-up mode?

The only thing I don't like about the game is that the stuff that opens up is mostly random...I have had it since it was first released and I'm still missing one mobile suit (the custom Geara Doga that Rezun Schneider pilots) because its card never shows up during the Char's Counterattack scenario.  I wonder if I'm missing something.  :'(

NHL 07 PSP - still working on a season

Gears of War - finally started a game on insane mode. have a shitload of achievements to get yet

World of Warcraft - rolled an alliance Shammy on the weekend

Crackdown - a nice diversion but not really compelling for extended play sessions. was going to trade it in, but $10 is quite the gyp.

Resident Evil 4 Wii - anamorphic widescreen w/GC controls: the way it was meant to be played

This weekend I hope to get a hold of copies of Overlord and/or The Darkness.

Can you go straight to Shivering Isles when you start the game? I keep thinking that if I could do that I might spend enough time with the game to actually let it hook me like I'd want it to and not spend all the time bitching about the game's mechanics or fussing with one of those Oblivion mod installs that rival the setup of one of the mainframes I work on.

yup, just go to the island on the lake near bravil after a day has passed. you'll actually want to go there with a low-level character just to see the whole range of enemies; if you go there with an uber, you'll only see the high-level foes.

I loaded my previous character and went straight in. My character is Level 13, having finished the main quest and all the sub-quests of the factions (all 1000 achievement points), and I have the Skeleton Key which is basically insta-unlock for anything that comes my way. The game doesn't tell you where the entrance is, so I had to look it up online.

I've already found a sweet ass sword, you get it when you do the dungeon I talked about earlier. It's called Dawnfang, and it has Fire imbued in it -- but when it turns night, it changes into Duskfang, and has ice instead! When it goes back to day, it changes back to Dawnfang, but the magic properties regenerate. It's way better than the Glass sword I had.

I think its already loads better than Oblivion proper, the environment is nice and the characters are more chatty and have more life.

X360: Guitar Hero II and Crackdown (My GOTY so far)
PS3: Ridge Racer 7 (Did impress me at launch, but since committing to completing the game 100% I've been having more fun with it.)
Super Star Dust HD (so awesome, best gaming value on the PS3)
Wii: Super Paper Mario; random VC titles
DS: Ouedan 2 (Still trying to unlock the cheerleaders.  Last section of the last stage on hard is kicking my ass.)

Well I picked up Capcom Classics Vol. 2 for the PS2 for $10 the other day but the PS2 is not hooked up at my new place just yet, so I'll be playing that at some point this month. I guess I ought to finish Twilight Princess sometime this month too.

Xbox 360 - Maybe a little play on Oblivion and Dead Rising (finally getting back to this now that I fixed my 360 and now that the Halo 3 Beta is over with and the new on my PS3 has worn off.

PS3 - Motorstorm. This fucking game is funner than shit. Nirvana's on the soundtrack. Joy.

PS2- Okami, or, as I like to call it, Zelda with a dog. I'm enjoying it, but TP is superior. I'm also playing through Code: Veronica X.

PS1 - The Resident Evil series

Wii - RE4

GC - Probably some Metroid Prime 2 before the new one comes out next month.

PSP : Crush and something else
DS : Zelda
X360 : Winning Eleven X and Guitar Hero and (cough)piratesofthecaribbeanwhatthefuckwasithinkingitwascheapandijustwantedthepointsimasuchacocklord(cough)
PS3 : Super Starstrike HD (weird name change for Japafag version) and Ninja Gaiden
Arc : Radiant Silvergun / Skykid / Makaimura
PS2 : Rez
PC : Big Beat whateveritscalled... the homebrew japalogation game.

PSP- Tekken Dark Resurrection, Kizuna Encounter (emulated)
PS2- KOF XI, Fu'un Super Combo
DS- Zelda Phantom Hourglass
PS3- Super Starstrike HD, Tekken 5 DR, Virtua Fighter 5, Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Wii- Nothing.  Yet again.  Feel like playing some GC games, maybe PN03 again.
Xbox 360- Rumble Roses XX (new content!  But it's just outfits.  From other characters.   :-\)

Ninja Gaiden Sigma is kicking my ass all over the place, but I refuse to drop the difficulty level down when it asks me.  I'm on stage four (the boss of stage 3 was killing me every time I loaded the game up for the past few weeks so I took a break) right now.
