I can loan you my Japanese account, Willco, IM me if you are interested

The demo is in English

Eternal Sonata is a wacky jappy RPG based off Chopin, the musician. You'll understand when you play it.

It's like Tales of Symphonia type gameplay, not turn-based like Blue Dragon

Tales of Symphonia might have not been the best game

Star Ocean would be more accurate

Think a turn-based Star Ocean--

The enemy and you take turns, but when it's your turn you can run around freely and use your own attacks before the "time" meter runs out.

This game looks pretty.

Ichirou's internet connection got cut off before he finished posting this message.  Let me give the full quote:

This game looks pretty stupid.  And shitty.  And dumb.  And you have to beat it like twice to get the achievements WTF LOL LOL

Actually I got Eternal Sonata when I bought my replacement 360.  And I happily gave it to my friend.

I'd download the demo just to be able to play it for a few minutes.  It's the best looking game on the system.

I'll take the most animu stuff ever over WWII or gangsta themes.

The demo of this game was good, but that battle camera sucked - made it hard to tell where exactly the opponents you needed to beat were, so you'd waste most of your turn just trying to track them down.

I played this demo a week or so ago.

Its awful. Quite possibly one of the most boring RPGs I've played in a long time. For something with semblance of action elements to its combat, its slow and repetitive. There's no real challenge to fights either in the demo. Just sneak up on enemies and you'll kill them before they even can attack.

The camera is also complete shit. Sure things look kind of pretty, but you can't adjust the camera, so you'll wander around stuck behind level geometry until you find the path to continue. Thankfully the battles aren't random or this would be an even bigger problem.

The demo dropped this game from rental status to do not bother with status.
