I bet you'd think he's the world's best writer if he had not be involved with Spider-Man 2.  I often wonder what his draft looked like, because word is that Sargent and Raimi's shooting script resembled close to nothing to his.

For example, I don't hold any of Stoppard's several awful transgressions (Shakespeare in Love, Revenge of the Sith) against him, and they are worse than SM2.

He worked in a similar capacity with Tim Burton on his film Sleepy Hollow. He is also rumoured to be writing the script for the 22nd James Bond film, currently under the title of Bond 22.

Christensen also confirmed recently that Lucas got a helping hand with the script for Revenge of the Sith. In an interview with Playboy, he said the rumours about playwright Tom Stoppard working on the dialogue for the film are true.

Stoppard, known for stage works like Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, gave the Lucas-penned screenplay a more "human" dimension, Christensen said.
