Is there a pill to help me get in the mood?
« on: July 08, 2007, 02:54:13 PM »
Like I cant get in the mood to play games lately....

Im either listening to music, or sitting on the Webwasteland reading forums, blogs, sites, etc...

Its like id rather be playing games (I have a huge fukkin backlog), but I just cant be bothered to get in front of the screen and turn the consoles on...I also cant be bothered to turn on the PSP :(

WTF!

I like games - I just cant get in the mood lately..

Anyone else ever go thru this? Its frustrating...

OK - so what im sayin here man is that it doesnt matter - I can smoke or whatever and I just end up zoning out on the goddamned forums or listening to music when really i have hundreds of hudreds of gaming hours (many titles still in the wrapper) that I need to get to....

Maybe you should realize you don't feel like playing games and take a break.  The mind naturally moves towards its greatest happiness when it is serene (or zoned out).

PS, that pic....   :-* :-*

This is what you do. Turn off the PC, first of all. Serious just do it!

Then go pack a bowl - don't smoke it yet though, just pack it. Grab a game you've been meaning to play. Sit down in front of the TV, turn on the console of choice, put the game in. While you're watching the intro, spark that bowl up and then after the exhale, grab the controller and get into it.

If you STILL don't get into it, then I don't know what to tell ya.

For an old man you know your shit. Nothing better than having a fat bowl you can hit every 5-10min while playing a game. It feels like it lasts forever.

The problem with yer master plan is that I vaproize - I dont smoke.

So its this routine of prepping the cardridge and then getting a 10 minute 'steam' bath.

I did manage to play some stuff earlier - yes I did manage not to sod out in front of the computer for a bit and get some PS2 game playtime in,,

I did finally get around to playing some games yesterday...

- Gundam: Crossfire - PS3 - I hate that people hate on this game soo much...once you learn the odd controls, remap all of the buttons (I prefer control scheme D) and get the hang of it, there are good times to be had. I love barely finishing missions on hard with 3% health left, and no arms, head and one leg...the melee combat is great fun....

- Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerebus - PS2 - This game is decent, but mostly because of the fan service stuff.I am trying to make it thru Edge on hard difficulty. ITs a game thats not totally and RPG, and not totally a shooter...its a little bit of both but not really great at being either...

- Persona - PSOne - Level grinding.....

- Field Commander - PSP - Love this game, everything about it....got my ass kicked online again...I really dont like the 'fog of war'.
