So I borrowed Drinky's copy for a couple minutes today to do 'THE QUIZ' which decides which pokemon I am the most like through 'several questions'.
First off, I am apparently a mudkip. The first test run said I was something else, but I dont remember. Now my problem isnt so much with the results as the consistancy of the results, granted I probably didnt run the quiz enough to get a good batch of results, but the fact I didnt get even CLOSE to the same evaluation shows one thing about this quiz:
It lacks context.
For example, I am asked how much I would fill a bucket if I found it. Now I know this game may be made for kids and they might have an instant answer pulled from their 'pure' souls, however I am 26 and a cynic. If I am going uphill I wouldnt want much water, but what if it was the end of the world and it was fresh water I would want it full but what if I want it full but I have to carry it up an incline and it would just make me tired and unable to outrun the religion zealots that populate the post apocalyptic landscape.
I ran into another question about me having the lights on or off when I sleep. Apparently if I like to turn the lights off when I sleep, I am afraid and timid. What? That was for the first test. Afraid and Timid.
They ask: If you found a chest -- I chose its a trap, because I am PARANOID, not timid. However the game called me a pussy and I got some lame pokemon the first time. The second run through it said I was all in touch with my feelings or some shit and got mudkip.
I think if these questions were given some context we would have motivations and that would provide a much clearer picture and most likely avoid another flawed analysis of my personality in relation to a fictional animal from a japanese cartoon.
