don't waggle too hard.  the sensor does a bad job of detecting the wiimote outside of its boundaries.

you have to make sure you're aiming at the tv.  You can also adjust the sensor sensitivity.

The whole aim at the tv thing is distinguished mentally-challenged. You'll be aiming at the tv and it goes a little outside the sensor's vicinity and the cursor gets stuck for a bit. It's a tad ridiculous. It should be so that you can use the remote in any place in the room without pointing at the tv.

For Call of Duty, something that made it better for me personally is to tone the sensativity waaayyyy down to only like three notches above zero.  Much more precise and easier to control all around, if you're willing to sacrifice turning speed.

But yeah, CoD doesn't really perfect the aiming with the the Wiimote.  MP3 will, most likely.

Light actually effects your Wii? Why? During the day time I leave my blinds open.

Because that's what the sensor bar is, two dim lights on the each end of the bar.  If you have light or light sources around, the wiimote sees that instead of the sensor bar.

I had no problem with CoD3, I had the sensitivity 2/3rds to max.

My TV is right in front of a window and right below a ceiling light, I've never had problems.

I was playing some Wii Sports golf tonight and having some fun until it started swinging despite my not making the slightest gesture. Perhaps I just need to change the sensitivity in the dash. I haven't looked into it, TBH. I just got pissed off and turned the game off.  >:(

How is it damage control? Don't you think that if it was a common thing for the remotes to just start randomly inputting gestures, you'd have heard more about it?

If you're standing still and you're making golf swings, you should probably exchange the remote.

I thought it was infrared? why would infrared light be affected by my lamp... or is it too emitting some ir action?
