I was in Hiroshima last summer. I saw a Sofmap near the main train station, but that was it. I really wasn't looking though, as we were there to see the p.eace park/museum and then spend the night on Miyajima.

I wish we would've gone to a Carps game, though. Next time we're in Japan, we're definitely going to a baseball game.

yeah, on the days we are there, the Carp are playing in Tokyo... doh.

But yeah, can go see "the Swallows"....

it's cheap, but it's always fun to get a japanese girl to say "Yes, i'm a fan of the swallows"...

(i am easily amused)

I really want to see the Nippon Ham Fighters, but they moved to Hokkaido, right?

I know they're the Fighters, and Nippon Ham is their sponsor, but damn if Ham Fighters ain't the best team name ever.

Shit, I just want to catch a baseball game next time I'm in Japan. I'm intrigued that another country adopted my favorite sport to the point where it has it's own word, and not just a katakanization of the word "baseball."

I've been to soccer matches in England and Mexico, and both were awesome. Going to local sporting events is a great cultural experience.

Honeymoon in Japan was last summer, next time we visit it'll just be a regular vacation. But yeah, that might be fun, as long we control our geekery in front of the women.  ;)

I wanted to see a baseball game on my first visit to Japan back in 2001, and I still have yet to see one.   :'(

The wife seems to have a thing for soccer every now and then, but I don't really care about it.  Then again, I've never been to a game live before...

I'm not sure how a Japanese crowd at a soccer match would be, but the game I went to in Mexico was awesome. I went to a World Cup 1994 match in Washington D.C., and that was pretty damn cool too.
