the framerate is a little low at times and there are hints of screen tearing here and there, but it doesn't matter... WOW at the environments, the art design, the music, the characters, the premise... the best out of ANY next-gen game so far... the most awaited game of this gen for me

not sure I like this whole steampunk setting that much, though

and wtf, wasn't Kain supposed to be a silent hero? guess they changed their minds for the redneck US audiences who don't like to read to begin with

based on Sakaguchi's comments, this game's goal is supposed to be for the player to imagine himself as Kain, and examine his life at this point

how can you identify yourself to a hero that often sounds like a total wimp?

voice acting seems decent at least

Or Snake Rattle 'n Roll? Actually, Viva is pretty decent too... it just has a poor learning curve; too much happens in the first hour of the game, and not enough happens after that.

huh, they have enemies with interlocking shields exactly like in Blue Dragon. Seemed a bit incongruous. Otherwise, very nice indeed, and about 1,000x more interesting than the "Barren Wastelands" LO vid that followed it on Game Trailers. I REALLY hope the encounters aren't as tedious as they appear based on that.

Killer Instinct has always sucked.

Goldeneye was good for its time.

Rare is a pretty average developer. People say they went to shit after MS bought them but you would have to be dead pressed to actually find qaulity games prior to that buy out. What good did they make again? Donkey Kong Country? Fucking Conker?
