Unreal Tournament 3 PS3 exclusive this year.

Sony signed a multi-stage deal with Midway and Epic.

PC mods can be transferred to the PS3.

Microsofts' "protect shitty expensive 3rd party DLC at all costs" approach to Live pretty much put Epic in a position where this was the best thing for them to do. They'll sort out the 360 stuff later I would think.

Epic is still doing tons of stuff for MS, though to be fair most of it is for the PC (UE3 Live for Windows integration, Gears of War PC).

yeah. I've interviewed folks at AernaNet a couple timeas now for various mags, and one of the reasons they formed ArenaNet was to avoid the console development ghetto. Their thin client, backend distributed model might not play nice with console networking infrastructure.

Live is a big differentiating factor for a lot of people, I would imagine. People want to play with their friends and strip mine their achievements.
