Hale/Hare is hardly sweet. He's an anxiety-addled, defeatist, passive-aggressive little fuck with a martyr complex and streak of social masochism a mile long. Guu's job is to turn him into more selfish, confident, better-adjusted human being who will actually take a stand for himself. Guu the character is some unexplained god-monster being who likes to fucking troll by literally twisting reality. She also likes afros, bloodshed, seeing the village doctor get raped by an elderly woman, encouraging alcoholism, fighting bears, and sucking folks into her transdimensional stomach, which is possibly the most fucked up place in the universe.

Who released this?  If it's ADV, I'll wait for it to come out in box set form and for them to have one of their ridiculous 40% off sales, and I can probably pick up the whole series for less than fifty bucks.  Sounds awesome.

EDIT: I looked at the boxes and it looks like a Funimation release.  They're not nearly as good when it comes to sales/cheap anime. :/

there are 3 guu series. Guu tv, Guu Deluxe, and Guu Finale. Not sure if the others have been licensed.
