It's summer vacation right now. If I was back in the States with the same type of job, I'd probably be able to relax for a couple of months, not have to go, and get paid. Not in Japan.

Summer vacation for JETs means having to spend a little over a month sitting in the fucking half-empty school all day long twiddling your dick. There's no work to be done, and I can't even help plan lessons since no one here seems to be doing that and half the English teachers didn't show up today. So far I've just messed around online and slept for an hour or so.

So anyone got some suggestions as to what I can do to pass the time? Throw kids off the roof? Smash all the windows? Anything? The internet is going to get fucking boring after a few days.

Day #4 of ~~prison~~ summer "vacation."

There's this bizarre Silent Hill-like fog covering the area today. Like an ominous sign or something. I think I'm going to cut out in a minute and hit the bank, then go and pick up Minna No Golf 5. Nobody really seems to notice me coming or going, so I use that to my advantage. I like to go mess around with the kids, but I don't want to bother them for too long since they're trying to practice for band or sports.

By the way, there's a ton of students in the school band, but there are NO BOYS. It's all girls, and it's been the same thing at all three of the schools I've been to. Boys also don't ever join the art club.

Oh shit, thats an awesome day. I guess, being a teach does have its perks. I would love to have that amount of vacation time and still get payed.
