Who Else Hates the Annual Apartment Inspection.

Every year I have to clean my house EXTRA NICE cause the fukin apartment management wants to poke around the appliances and look for crap they need to fix. Since I have a cat this always require I stay home, clean house, and then wait anxiously for the knock at the door which always causes my cat to freak the fuck out and start tearing around the house as I let 3-4 people in who start walking around my place while I try to wrangle the cat.

LAME. GOd damnit. If my place has problems ill let u know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I feel like I have to hide all my shit. I'm pretty paranoid. It seems so unnecessary. It's especially ridiculous as I have no clue when they're coming. They just leave a note on my door once a year that says "It's that time of the year! We will be inspecting your apartment sometime between the hours of 8AM-6PM on #/#/#. Please keep all pets locked up in the bathroom." I always feel akward having some hung over maintenance guy walking around my apartment while I sit here playing WoW or watching TV or whatever. I generally make a point to be out all day while they do whatever it is they need to do.

I dont have to hide anything but god damn I hate cleaning my house.  I mean normally I only clean maybe 3 of the 6 rooms, but now I have to clean those 3 rooms I usually ignore :-(

Drinky is right tho I think the primary focus is to sniff out people who have pets without a deposit for them. They dont take too long at my place but thats cause they bring in like 5 people and that just sets my cat off cause OMG 5 people. I dunno it just seems weird.

5 people do seem a bit too much for an inspection.  I've had at most 2 people at one time for the annual inspection.  Your apartment seems pretty big though.  How many bedrooms does it have?  Are you living by yourself?

Just one bedroom, they inspect an apartment in 10-15 minutes, its just waiting ALL DAY for that 15 minute period is LAME

Well the buildings are older, so its probably for the best, but im probably moving when my lease is up next summer so I can get a place that has enough rooms for a Game Room with a pool table and a small bar.

No inspection, but I have to pay around 50,000 fucking yen to cover the "renewal fee" for having lived in the same place for TWO YEARS (wtf?!) plus fire insurance (which is fine).
