In the games defense, IGN seems to have a knack for posting shitty screens that are upscaled or downscaled. Though, that doesn't explain the buildings lack of good textures.

At this point, they are probably still getting their screens directly from R*, and I don't see any faults in these pictures that are evidence of upscale/downscale/resize faults. The game just looks shitty.

Its weird, this games visuals is very inconsistent. Sometimes I looks absolutely fantastic and other times its very jaggy and textures look awful. Maybe there stock in the PS3 claim

Didn't MS say that all of the media seen so far was the 360 version? So this is probably the 360 version too. We can hope that the PS3 version will actually look next gen because it's obviously the only next gen system.

It does look like a next-gen GTA if you consider how terrible the GTA games looked on the PS2/Xbox. GTA has always been consistent for having lousy graphics.

I think its more that they just don't fix anything. They pull off some amazing stuff, but never go back to improve upon their obvious errors.

we've all seen it in motion and it looked pretty good to me sans some framerate drops. these shots do look awful, though.

according to kikizo these are from the 360 version, the ps3 version is 2 weeks behind and r* says they'll eventually show it before it comes out.
