That first scene of the Beowulf trailer, aside from having good (but too perfect) character models, looks like a current gen videogame.  The water looks so cheap, which is bad considering a key portion of the story takes place underwater.

Zemeckis hasn't even done anything decent since BttF or Contact (if you are into that).

Contact was okay but the ending was a bit sour. Beowulf seriously looks like Monster House-quality animation. no way are mainstream audiences going to buy this. MEGABOMBA

Debating DVD vs. Blu-ray on the Blade Runner sets...

I really don't want the TRINKET BOX edition, but I want every cut of the movie.  Why can't they just make a 5 disc edition with all the cuts that is not intended for trinket-obesessed art book loving homojapuals?  This is twice in the same week that the little tramps have fucked me like Tonks.

Check the link; there are 5-disc, no trinket HDDVD and Blu-ray editions. DVD only goes up to 4-disc.

So I'm leaning towards Blu-ray...despite not owning a PS3. :maf

ORLY!  Blu-Ray for me!  I'm sure you have mostly resigned to the fact that you will grab your ankles for Sony at some point in the future, right?

I am thinking of taking tomorrow off work to go to Comicon. Less crowded on Friday than over the weekend, plus people won't be tired-and-hating-life like they will be on Sunday. Plus I would get my Sunday free. Anyone here ever been?

When they did Comic-Con on the 1Up Show last year, the event just looked like an ass-whipping.  Ridiculous lines for every panel, highly sterile convention center, no booth babes or E3 pageantry.  I would go this year though, since the Hernandez Brothers will be there to celebrate the Love & Rockets anniversary....

I am so happy to see a plain old 5-disc Blu Ray version. I don't want all the frivolous stuff in the briefcase.

I went last year - it was interesting, to say the least. Said hello to Keith Knight, almost bought the Mage graphic novel.

I'm gonna go tomorrow~

EDIT: Ugh, their ecommerce site says Friday and 3-days are sold out. The main site hasn't been update to reflect this. Fuck.

EDIT2: God dammit I was really looking forward to going tomorrow. Now I have to go on Sunday. Bleh. I am really pissy now.
