MAF, even with a full time job, you could easily plow through all 7 books in the space of 2 weeks, possibly with room to spare.

You can even skip the first 2 books after seeing their respective movies--they are adequate replacements, and most agree that the second movie is actually an improvement on the book.

i think the protagonists really ARE the least appealing part of harry potter. the supporing cast gets more interesting character development than they do -- even at the end, harry is petulant, ron is clueless, and hermione is uptight.

I bought some Range Murata one-coin (500 yen) figures.

They looked cool on the box, it wasn't til I opened the actual figure I realized how panty-focused they were. $:-\$

I blame Gonzo for the current state of the Japanese anime industry, everything they touch is a terrible wasteland.

EDIT: Apparently Blue Submarine No. 6 was the first thing Gonzo ever did.
EDIT 2: Wikipedia reveals they did the 2004 video "Breaking the Habit" for LINKIN PARK. So I guess I have to like them at least a little now.

I was in Japan at the time of Gate Keepers and Vandread, it sort of prejudiced me against, well, anything they've ever done ever. They also made Final Fantasy: Unlimited ffs.

Most people will argue its a good show with a weak conclusion, but I honestly found no fault in the conclusion. I think in an era of narutos and one piece type anime, its hard to satisfy anyone with only 26 episodes anymore

Some of my favorite anime is 13 eps, but im use to the 26 ep formula. The whole concept of last exile is cool, the airship stuff is awesome, the characters are interesting, and I happened to like the ending. There's gotta be reviews of it out there somewhere.

OMG MAF

The first two movies are entertaining kid romps. Nothing amazing, but for fans of the books they're cute. If I see them on ABC Family I'll sit down and watch for a couple commercial breaks.

The third movie is VERY good MAF. The only people who dislike it are little kids who wanted more lolz.

Forth movie ain't bad. I watched it again on TV Links and was surprised that it's better than I remembered. It starts great, but there are some REALLY cheesy/horrible scenes ("a man Harry...but who?)

But MAF the books are waay better you should read them

No. Gonzo is one of the worst studios because they are so hit and miss. High quality shows like LE are a rarity from Gonzo. THen there's shit like bakuretsu tenshi which is one of the worst anime i've ever seen.
