Lack of dash, lack of smooth control, boring level design.

MMX and MMZ has spoiled completely. I picked MMAC along with Raw Danger and I find pretty much all the games on this collection to be almost unplayable. Going through MM4 now.

nah - MM1 is still the best

I use to be able to beat that game on one life...thats right all the way up to dr wileys castle, past that rock boss that people use the elec gun/pause cheet on (and I dont) and all the way to the endgame..on one cokkin life....

Those MM and MMX remakes for PSP are lovely.

nah, i didn't like the level design and most boss battles. having to play in a certain way to get a certain form pissed me off too.

zero 3 had more bosses, copy x and the equipment was alright. but it was too easy, especially because the levels were too linear iirc. bosses were easy too. still the best one out of the last 3.

zero 4's weather and fusion gimmicks were lame and unnecessary. the weapon stealing hand was pretty much useless. the level design was pretty gimmicky too, hide from the sun, find the right path before the 397813 min timer ends, etc. and wasn't one of the bosses a green ball? ffs

i can't comment on the cyber elves since i never used them. and they weren't bad, just disappointing imo.

Its just you. I just finished Megaman 1 and I'm almost done with Megaman 2. Yeah the levels are short, but they still pack some challenge. Plus the music is still great. MMPU2 and MMPU3 please.

I'm not that into MMZ. But I think I might try them again once I get through MM and then MMX.

I just don't find MM fun at all. I didn't grow up playing Mega Man, so it's pretty hard for me to get into, especially after being exposed MMX and Z.

I'm might have to agree with Himumu on this one. I just started trying Mega Man Powered Up for the PSP but I just can't get into it because you can only shoot forward in one direction. Gameplay also requires too many repetitive sequences. But then again I'm not too crazy about old games. BTW, Bionic Commando>>>>>Mega Man.

Capcom is fucking up.

First they kill of megaman, then they kill off zero.

ZX has two new people plus Giro. Giro seems like reincarnated zero of sorts, kinda cool. (chosen by model z, whatever.)
He gets killed off. Game has ties to the X and Zero series, I can dig it.

ZX 2, you play as 2 new people then ZX, wtf. Prometheus and Pandora, both cool bosses in ZX, get killed off in a dumb fashion to introduce some new evil guy. Who you also kill. Lame.

What is left to do here, really?

Megaman Zero was this series last ounce of greatness. Playing a Megaman game without megaman or zero seems souless. Model switching is a fun new mechanic but they have written themselves into a corner imo.

This world needs Megaman Legends 3.

Nostalgia. Do you know you it?

Honestly its not nostalgia for me. I admit I boot up some old ass games to play out of nostalgia. Some clunkers like Boy and His Blob, Fester's Quest, Faxanadu. But MM1-3 are still fuck awesome. Yeah the levels are short in the first game, and the bosses can be easy if you know the weaknesses but those games still fucking stand up today. The artwork and graphics are still nice and clean, the framerates are mostly stable, the music is still some of the best video game music ever.
