Post your Happy Childhood Memories!
« on: September 25, 2006, 07:25:02 AM »
Back when Goldeneye came out I used to kick ass on the multiplayer mode.  Especially when using proximity mines.  Rodi, Homemade Milk and I used to play till 6am.  I used to kill them so many times they'd get pissed off and start crying.   :rofl

Pussies. ::)

I think my happiest... or worst... was when I would play DuckHunt at my friend's house. We'd get so pissed off at the stupid dog popping up and laughing at us. :lol

Mine would have to be, living in the Projects (not run down, more of a clean community) in Massachusetts. I remember my family made up of 12 Aunts and Uncles living in or around the Projects (imagine the amount of cousins I should have from that amount of Uncles and Aunts...yeah). Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall we would have sometype of celebration from my Cousins or other family members having birthdays. We would all celebrate together like one large Family.

It was really like the type of things you would see in movies. Sadly most of the Family moved down south (Florida) as I got older and the cousins aged with me, it hasn't been done in probably over 15 years....

I used to play Mortal Kombat 1 & 2 religiously with my brother until we fought.

I used to play Duel, fucking old PC game, and it was honestly the most deep game I have ever played.  are there any old-asses that remember playing this game and rotating around the sun?  I fucking was in love.

One time I was in Oakland at this new mosque and my brother and I annoyed and tagged along with the contractor for the remodeling so much he made us mix a shitload of cement with our hands and we were discussing the merits of the claims that lead was bad for you.  He bought us a lot of Taco Bell.  I loved the Cookie Monster (his pet name).

goldeneye? childhood?  Boy I'm old.

Childhood memories of happy wappy:

Waking up early for Saturday morning cartoons.

Late night trips to the drive in theatre, with pre-dusk fun on the playground and arcade machines, then getting an ice cream sammich and watching the movie from the back of a pickup truck, always falling asleep before the films were done.

Being chased around the kindergarden playground by the girls.

Watching the Transformers movie on the Church's big screen projector on New Years Eve.

The time I dressed up as The Ghost of Gene Kelly for Halloween, when i was about 7 years old. I kept poking other kids eyes out with my umbrella by accident, and they took it away from me.  That part sucked.

playing Fighting Fantasy books instead of following anything that the moronic sanctimonious teachers said in elementary school, and still getting every question right when being asked what I was doing :lol

I'm 22.  How is playing Goldeneye when you're in late elementary school to middle school not a childhood memory?  ???

Or maybe I'm just young at heart.   :D

Perfect Dark was better.

:P

Anyway I remember playing a shit load of Super Smash Bros along with the sequel. That was fun.
I preferred Perfect dark to Goldeneye. Although the proximity mines did indeed, own.

In 6th grade, we used to skip school to drink beer and smoke cigarettes all day. Then have long make-out sessions with the latest girl that just hit puberty.

I was a horrible kisser.

Perfect Dark was better.

So true. :P
It really was. But my friends and I had played Goldeneye so much that Perfect Dark was really more of the same, plus all we played was Complex. Didn't stop us from playing it for about a year nonstop though.

And CrystalGemini, you're 22 and you played Goldeneye in late elementary school to middle school? I'm 20 and I vividly remember talking about Goldeneye in 6th grade with other kids. A lot.

I remember a girl chasing me around in the bus in 1st grade always trying to kiss me. And I didn't like it. But I kinda did. She did once.

Oh, how far I have fallen.

When I was in grade school we would go on a cruise every summer.  It was fun because I was just a kid but everyone would suck up to me because of who my grandfather was.

Game wise was the Xmas I got the Sega Master System with lightgun and 3d goggles.  I spent to many nights playing Missile Defense 3d and Space Harrier 3d.

My first kiss was Sheila Moon.  I kissed her on a dare, and she totally stuck the tip of her tongue out.  I was grossed out total.

Hmmm

Waking up at 6 in the morning to watch Saturday cartoons. It would start with Sailor Moon (FUCK THE HATERS) and go all the way until noon, when the Goosbumps show would come on :)

EVERY Christmas. And it's not really about the presents either. There is nothing more beautiful than Christmas, and the family gathering it attracts. I loved spending the night at my grandma's house surrounded by my cousins and uncles. Or trying to stay awake as long as possible.

Going on a cruise. This was perhaps the most amazing experience I've ever had. We went with a Christian group we're associated with; the cruise went to Mexico and the Camen Islands. The food was amazing. I'd walk around until 2 in the morning eating ice cream lol. The Camen Islands are beautiful.

Playing basketball at a private school. I was homeschooled for most of my early life, but I was able to play basketball at a public school starting in the 7th grade. They were extremely conservative, but I had a blast. Riding the bus for three hours to games was just amazing; oh the fun we had. We even went to KKK City aka Howel Michigan once :lol
