Looks pretty generic, but Robert Downey makes this a first day ticket for me.  He's so great.  Incredible casting.

I don't see the second-tier superhero movies (Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, Daredevil, etc.), but Downey ensures that I'll see Iron Man.

i've seen bits of it and it looks pretty good. 2008 will be an amazing year for comic book adaptations.

Smarmy Robert Downey, Black Sabbath, dumbasses trying to shoot through the metal suit -- about what I expected.  Regardless, looks fucking sexy.

Oh, a tough call.  I love Robert Downey, but Jon Favreau is one of my least favorite people in Hollywood.  Not that he even has a functional pedigree that would indicate that he's any good at shooting action to begin with.  Aside from fan attachment to the character and Downey, there's really no indication that this will be a good movie.

There was a bit of dark humour which already is good sign. That trailer had more Spidey-like one liners than all three Spider-Man movies all together.

I think it's pretty transparent that this what Favreau is aiming for, but at least he's honest and cited it as an inspiration.

That's just lip service, Willco.  This movie will be lucky if it hits PG-13, let alone R.

I don't think he's talking about brutality, dude, but the not-so-subtle political and military themes.

Zathura, aka the movie so terrible that the holders of the Jumanji license wouldn't even throw them a bone.

I agree. Everyone on GAF seems to be pretty gassed about it, but it just looked ok to me - nothing special. But this is just some footage thrown together; a high quality teaser/trailer might get me excited. Either way I'm going to see it
