I've totally forgoten about the whole Sidebar thang going on with Vista. I've actually been reminded of it, now that I bought this purty Seagate External HDD. I'll probably look for something that'll allow me to selct folders quickly from the Sidebar instead of having shortcuts clutter my desktop.

I also kinda wish the sidebar could be moved to the top or bottom of the work area.

Wow, theres a gadget called "Magic Folder" that allows you to drag and drop files into the Gadget and the gadget looks at the files extension and moves the file to the appropriate folder (.txt .doc to Documents, .mov .mpg to Videos etc). Pretty cool.

I hate that most of the skins for these Gadgets look assy though. OS X seems to be better in this regard.

Hook me up with some links, Blue.  I have Vista X64 ultimate installed right now.  I went with the 32bit version but the dumbass 32bit ver. could only utilize 2.75 gb of my 4gb ram.  I didn't spend 700 on 4gb so that I can only get 2.75gb.  The coolest thing about Vista so far is that you can use a video as a wallpaper.  I had the MGS4 video as my wallpaper but I finally took it off as it's kinda draining on system resources when you want to play games. BTW, MAF, where are the widescreen wallpapers you were going to get for me?

Right now I'm looking at the Live! Windows site that has all the Gadgets

http://gallery.live.com/

Theres some good Gadgets there but most of them aren't as purty as the initial Gadgets you get with the OS.

Also, I think Dreamscene (the app that plays vids in the background) stops when you play a video or play a game. Possibly. I read it somewhere but its probably false :\

Thanks for the link.  It looks like there's a ton of cool stuff to download.  I'm not sure about the Dreamscene shutting off during games but it seems to slow things down a bit when I have a 1080P video as a wallpaper.  Vista already has a performance disadvantage running most games so I just want to make sure it runs at max speed when I'm too lazy to reboot into XP.
