I know I'm a townie leper and I can't make threads but I really think that this deserves it's own thread.

I just got back from a week long backpacking trip through the San Juan national forest. It's near Durango colorado. The trip was amazing. I got to see some beautiful plant animals and scenery. There were alot of mountain goats and they were right at home around the meadows of our campsite. It was so awesome. Anyway, I thought you guys might enjoy some of these beautiful pictures.

My wife keeps telling me to move us to Fort Collins. I can't imagine life without unsecured shit in the back of pickup trucks moving at high speeds and rampant codeworded racism, so in the South we stay, at least for now.

Beautiful place though. I love the West.

I was drinking water that was literately melted from the snow atop those mountains. We pumped it straight out of the river. It was freezing cold.

I dont know. It was around 40 degrees at night while I was there. Up in the mountains it rained everyday with a little bit of hail.

I'd agree, as long as we are talking about SLC and north. Logan, UT is pretty damn awesome in particular.

Anything south of SLC gets a little too MORMONIC for my tastes.
