dq8 was boredom incarnate. why'd they lose the job system and convoluted dungeon design?
DQ is like FF, at least in the sense that the gameplay systems are not the same every time.
i think only two DQs have job systems... VII, of course, and uh... i don't remember, one of the NES ones.
probably DQVIII didn't have quite the gameplay chops of VII, but it also corrected all the things i loathed about VII, so i liked it more.
it's all about V for me, ultimately, so yay.
