COPS IN THE U-DISTRICT!!

I wish they Cops in Ballard up on You Tube.

For those of you outside the Seattle area, Almost Live was a totally awesome local sketch comedy show that poked fun at life in the Pacific Northwest. Bill Nye the Science Guy and Joel McHale (The Soup) got their starts on Almost Live.

wtf that was bill nye!

Bill Nye got his start on Almost Live. The whole Science Guy routine started out there, along with his Speedwalker character. Pat Cashman, who was the narrator on the Bill Nye the Science Guy show is also an Almost Live regular.

The show actually ran for a while on Comedy Central, though this was way back before the network got big.  Come to think of it, at the time they had Mystery Science Theatre, Night After Night with Allan Havey, and Almost Live.  They were pretty much better then than they ever were.

Did this just air on a local station in Seattle, or cable access or what?

Almost Live was on our local NBC affiliate, KING-5. It aired at 11:35 pm Saturday nights, before Saturday Night Live from 1984 to 1999. KING now airs reruns at 1:05 am every Saturday night/Sunday morning.

The version on Comedy Central was a "nationalized" version of the show, as it eliminated a lot of the funniest skits, as they would've been lost on viewers who don't live in the Pacific Northwest.

One of my favorite Almost Live's was when they went to this diner and everything they ordered the guy would run across the street for to buy at a gas station lol
